Good to know, just got 30 from the chaos boon so I'll hoard them until then

holy shit, the sword secret aspect does sooo much damage. I barely even used the special because just regular attacks melted everything. saw a couple 2000+ backstab crits

whole run only took 19:42

Won my first time with gloves. Gotta say that they aren't as horrible as I originally thought. The jump kick upgrade is pretty fun, zooming around the map kicking people feels great.

I thought I was good with them at first, but now they're my worst weapon.

You get blood from the first and 4th bosses the first time you beat them with each weapon. After you beat the final boss, you can make the game harder when you start a run, which resets the rewards from bosses.
Sometimes you can buy blood in th 4th area for like 1000 gold.
Sometimes the trader has blood in the lounge.

How do i get more bloods

First aspects is up to you, but from what I understand is you can't unlock the fourth aspects of the other weapons until you do it for the spear. I haven't unlocked any fourth aspect yet so I dunno. But even so I recommend investing in the playstyles you enjoy.

IMO you should spend enough to unlock every aspect for your favorite weapon(s) to try them out, and then start spending them on whatever you like. I personally like Aspect of Hades, Talos, Hera, Zeus, Chaos, and whatever the rail one is that grants bonus damage when you absorb your special.

So I remember reading earlier in this thread that the first boss could be any one of the three Furies. Does it stick to just that same one for the rest of the save file or can it ever change again? Ive only ever fought Megaera but have yet to fight any of the other two, and shes also the only one Ive seen so far in the House of Hades.

You fight Meg first. After some attempts, the other 2 start coming into the rotation and at that point you could be facing any of them on any particular run.

It's funny how just as of last week (Devil May Cry 5 Spoilers for empathy sake) Vergil is no longer a spoiler to speak of as a character being in the game, what with him being everywhere in the trailers for the Special Edition.

I tried a run with the fists yesterday. Tried to fight Charon (optional boss) on the first area. Big mistake.

First run I've lost in a while.

First run with the gun and made it as far as I'd ever been. Gun and hangover status is great!
Died fighting Theseus and the Minotaur. Got both down to 25% health.

That fight gets so much harder if you don't focus them one at a time

I wanted to do that but when I'd focus on Minotaur, Theseus would hit me from off screen because I didn't know his moves. Won't happen next time though.

That actually wasn't too bad. Avoided that easily since it fires in the same place consistently.

You can also just dodge or reflect the spear as well

Watch for the cross hair, dodge through a pillar. Best way to avoid imo.

Interesting. I misread your post. He didn't call Athena when I fought him. He called Artemis and summoned several arrows to strike the ground for the rest of the fight.

He calls a random god that didnt give you a boon that run.

Also the worst ones are the ones that cover the entire screen (I think Aphrodite does this)

yeah there definitely seems to be a limit, 5-6 sounds about right. usually when you get the first 3 most of the boons after that are also from those

maybe if you switch keepsakes every area you can get more

I tend to run Family Favorite so I whore around to get as many different gods as possible, but there's always at least one I don't encounter by the time I reach act 3 boss.

I think what I heard from a streamer is the game will offer you up to four different ones. I guess that locks in once you accept boons from four different gods. But then you can force more with the keepsakes.

I can get to Hades every time with the shield but I cant get past Elysium with any of the other weapons lol I cant even get past the Hydra with the sword. I'm bad at close combat in this game, just so much shit going on the screen at once.

I pick the weapon based on whichever has the darkness boost so hopefully I get better with them all lol

Use casts often and pick up deflect abilities if you can. Both of those things are great against the Hydra since it doesn't have a lot of range itself.

For the sword, get the poseidon aspect maxed and use it as a caster build.

For the bow get Zagreus Aspect and look for flurry shot upgrade

For Shield you don't need an aspect, but start with Zagreus if you must because its cheap. Then try to get mostly poseidon (particularly on special) stuff with it, shield + knockback = king. Alternatively go with Ares on special

For Spear get Zagreus Aspect and look for poseidon on special, or alternatively Ares on special, get chain skewer if you can.

For Rail, Zagreus Aspect again because its cheap and effective. Look for Dionysus poison on main attack and hades, zeus, or poseidon on special.

Haven't messed with fists enough yet to make up my mind, but i do like them.

well, the secret gun aspect felt pretty terrible when I tried to use it once. too much standing around trying to use the beam, and the special is too slow
