Welp, just ruined a 20 win streak because I couldn't handle Forced Overtime with the Aspect of Gilgamesh(I just unlocked it). It's the only modifier I need for this prophecy :/

Oh just an FYI if you play with the pact of punishment limiter Tight Deadline, it will add on the next timer when you clear an area instead of resetting the clock. Once you get good at moving through areas fast you can bank a lot of time.

Tight Deadline's timer will pause:

• After a region's boss has been defeated, as well as in the transition staircase rooms between biomes.
• In the first empty room of a region.
• During all Thanatos encounters. (I assume this because they have more enemies in them).
• While in a non-combat chamber, with Sisyphus, Eurydice, or Patroclus.
• While fishing.
• When in conversation/selecting a boon.

Yeah I just beat the timer one last night. I thought it was going to reset back to 9 minutes at the end of each area but I was thankfully wrong. My best time is under 28 minutes anyway so I'm hoping I can beat it maxed out if I ever get around to trying it out.

Edit: Actually it maxed out at 5 minutes per area not 7, nvm doing that. Also I just beat Forced Overtime on the retry, so back to normal speed enemies for me <_<

Same. Looks pretty nifty but it's making me strongly consider the suggest to make dashing R because trying to dash-special is cumbersome as hell.

I could understand wanting to for stuff like the spear or last aspect on sword, since you can readjust where the aoe attacks go with a dodge cancel. I play claw so I've been fine so far.

i cant upgrade anything because I cant advance past the last boss. I cant get enough gold abs stay alive for that last store as well

So yeah, I think I'm done with the game now. I almost threw my controller. I simply can't keep up with the constant fucking moving I have to do to dodge everything. It's like I have to dash every every fucking second just to do 2-3 hits before I have to dash again. And then I just dash into trouble. I simply don't have the reflexes to be good at this game. I said it earlier, it doesn't matter if I KNOW the pattern and what I need to do, I simply can't make it happen. It's like I know I have to score baskets in basketball to win, but I can't make it in the hoop.

i recently had a super cheesy poseidon build you can try

poseidon dash + poseidon rupture boon + hermes extra dashes boon

that's about it. the boons that give extra damage from knocking things into walls are also good here. just dash and everything dies.

also zeus can eat a dick. im like 60 runs in and this fucker still wont give me the adamant rail aspect.

you're playing on PC since it's steam right? I think m/kb seems much easier than using a controller. I almost never stop attacking and using abilities even while dashing all over the place

Have you tried the God mode?

No, it literally makes you more godly. Your damage resistance increases each failed run.

3rd boss with extreme measures active was fun as fuck. was not expecting the..new things.

Made it to the final boss for the first time. Wow what a damage sponge. Only got his health down 20% before I died.

the pc version only saves when you leave a room, so you can unlock stuff and try them out on skelly and just quit/reload if it doesn't seem like your thing. just don't leave the room. not sure if switch is the same.

On switch, when I've cancelled a run in the first room, it reloads to the weapon room but also the titan blood I spent and the keepsake I equipped are rewound so I have to do it all over again

Unlocked Excalibur recently and damn, that is one strong ass weapon. You just absolutely melt things. Slow wind up but I really like that dashes don't interrupt the combos/attack animations.

The game should tell you. If you haven't picked a boon or a weapon upgrade before, it should be listed as a "fated choice" in the menu where you pick it.

I recently went through the dialogue where I'm kinda befriending the minotaur and he gets off his game for a bit. But now they're bros and have a slightly more advanced skillset with some duo skills.

All weapons complete at heat 5+! Able to max out one aspect on each weapon and have done pretty much all the prophecies. Really digging the Lucifer railgun as of late, because that special is just evil and I'm eager to try it with Poseisdon buff. Already done Ares (doom ticks are great) and Zeus (will explode pretty much immediately)

Duo boons are also listed on your boon list from the codex, but it usually boils down to "have one 'active' (attack, special, cast, call, dash) from both gods"

Finally got the game. Its definitely a blast. My heart dropped when I died and my max health went back to 50 though. I thought those were permanent upgrades lol >_>

One of the mirror upgrades is for max health, so you can eventually start with 100. I don't remember how many keys you need to unlock that part though.

Also I'd suggest giving nectar to Skelly, Cerberus, and/or Dusa early. All their keepsakes help with survivability and Skelly's in particular carried me through my first clears.

WHEW lads, 3rd time was the charm for me with Maegara. The 6 boons including a Lvl. 2 Poseidons Aid helped a lot, but she only got me down to 26/75 HP and I had one resurrect to 1/2 health in store. That was pretty satisfying. I actually yelled, Yeah, bitch! when it was over, lol.

Thanks for the advice! I gave one to Skelly, one to Sisyphus, and one to Ares. I didnt realize you could gift them to Cerberus or I would have gave one to him instead of Ares, darn.

Finally got past the duo boss of the third area for the first time, and actually made it all the way to Hades on the same run too. Couldnt beat him though, unfortunately.

So how does that final fourth area even work? Is it completely random which of all the chosen pathways will get the treat for Cerebrus? The second one I chose, whose preview icon had an exclamation point next to it (in the same way a mini boss room or more difficult room would have in the previous areas), ended up having what I needed to find to proceed to the final boss. Was that coincidence or is that how I know which way to go for next time I get there?

Guys I can't recommend Excalibur enough. It feels so so good to be able to dash without interrupting your attacks or combos. In that sense it probably is the most mobile weapon out of them all.

Is there any significance to the little Hades intros before a run? Like Fear or Hate or whatever that pops up before a run? Is it just flavor or do they effect anything?
