It's being said that we may need to SAH through winter.....are you still doing it?

They are talking about people having to social distance and "hunker down" through winter (Feb/march or next year). That is freaking 6 months away. Do you think you can social distance/SAH etc that long if it's needed?

Are you still actually doing it even now? Alot of people have just thrown their arms up, and while they wear masks, are actively going out, eating out, socializing etc.

IF you are still staying at home, are you high risk?

My wife and I are pretty good about it, generally we don't go out aside from grocery shopping. Helps that we both worked from home even before this started.

Pretty much. I'm working from home, so no contact there, and I'm still wearing a mask/distancing whenever I go out. The local case numbers are looking good enough (the last new case identified in the province was on Sunday, and there are currently just 2 known active cases) that I'm a lot less wary of going places than I was before moving, but I'm still not going out much. We've switched back to getting groceries weekly instead of every two weeks, which makes for a more manageable fridge/freezer.

Been WFH since March. My agency as a whole will be like this through the end of the year, but the office I work out of will be 100% teleworking through "late summer 2021" (likely spring 2022). I've been staying home more often than not and get food delivered. I have done some socially distanced outings at parks with friends and have gone in for some appointments. I'll be temporarily moving down south next month to ride out the winter.

Oh yeah, and always wear a mask when going anywhere outside!

I haven't left my house at all since the beginning of july. I'm using insta-cart for groceries.

I just don't see the sense in risking it when they were willing to pay me more money to stay home than i made at work. Even with that over, I saved up money, if they do anymore unemployment money at all, I can go for awhile next year if this is still going on.

The poll is more all over the place, but it's good to see others are still staying at home as well. Honestly was talking with a friend yesterday and don't see how I can do this for another 6+ months.

I plan on getting tested for the anti-bodies and hopefully I have already had it, even if itmeans I can get it again, if I have had it, it means I'll live through it if I do (I had really bad pnuemonia Dec-Feb, which might have been the virus it turns out).

I have roomates that both work, don't wear masks, don't take the virus seriously, but we never really interact.

That is good because it means i'm not likely to get the virus from them (live in total different parts of the house and I don't use the kitchen.....which would be the only shared space).

It's bad because it means I've been totally isolated other than phone calls to relatives/friends and a few zoom things (and I did play DnD over zoom for awhile abuncha months back).

While I'm not a massively social person, it's starting to get hard for me to entertain myself with TV shows and I pretty much have not been able to play a video game in a month.

I may look and see if I can get some kind of work at home position even if it pays crap, just to keep myself busy I guess, but yeah, another 6 months of this is gonna be really hard. I'm hoping the anti-body thing will show I had it and then I'll go out more (but with a mask of course).

I live in Los Angeles County. Fortunately I am still working regularly. At the worst our company reduced office hours by half for a few weeks back in April or May. Besides work, I go out only for food and a few essential errands. In-person Scouting activities has taken a pause and most is being done virtually so in terms of free time I have plenty of it at the moment.

I never really stayed home in the first places. I maybe had like a week off or something, but that was for a very specific reason. And it actually worked out sort of. My whole section save for me and the weekend guy all got quarantine. So, there was that.

For masks, I only really wear them when needed. Like if you need it to go into certain places. Other than that, not really...

You'all that are still social distancing/being careful while having to go out and work are amazing.

Honestly if I had to go out and work with other people all the time, I don't know if I could basically just stay at home when not working. I'd be like, I'm already out there for hours every day with other people, I'm freaking gonna eat out etc. That is some serious willpower you have.

That's one of the biggest threats to my province right now, since it's got a lot of universities. One of those universities just expelled a student for failing to follow the provincial self-isolation requirement (everyone entering from outside of the Atlantic provinces must isolate for 2 weeks) despite testing positive, which I think is pretty fair. The risk should quiet down by the end of the month as students stop traveling and their 2-week period is up, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we end up with a few new clusters before then. It'll be interesting to see what will happen with travel around Christmas.

"No, I wear a mask because I must, but otherwise I am mostly back to normal."

This sums it up for me. I wear a mask where I must such as on public transport and in shops but other than that I don't bother. I also social distance where it's in place such as in pubs. My life hasn't really changed all that much now that things are back open, I can see my family and so on. At this point I get on with my life the best I can while following whatever rules are in place until this shitshow is over.

I stay home mostly outside of work. Just trips to the store and other essentials. At work we are supposed to wear masks while in the building, which I do but most of the other associates don't. I'm an essential worker shipping food to major retailers so I have to go out for that.

It does annoy me seeing others not wearing a mask when I am out and at work. I've had 5 people in my family get covid, and 1 of them is 90 and it almost killed him. I seriously think my wife had it back in march and she still has problems breathing, people should take it more seriously and be responsible. I pray my mother in law doesn't get it too, since she was unfortunately just diagnosed with lung cancer and has a blood clot in one of her lungs as well..... this year has been rough.

I work from home and pretty much only go out to get groceries or things to keep me sane at home (Comics, home improvement items, visiting with family and friends who also work from home, etc.) I have only filled the gas tank on my car 3 times since March, lol!

Looks like this will continue until March, since that is when my workplace has said they are staying closed until at the earliest. My guess is since it is a small company and this work from home things has worked out so well for them, it might be permanent, or at the very least a situation where they only have us in the office twice a week once everything is back to normal.

I don't go anywhere but I've been too sick to go anywhere but the hospital for like 16 months now. Since I am very sick I'd appreciate it if people would actually try to get rid of the virus but I have accepted that humanity is too fucking stupid to do something simple and that I'll probably die because some fuckwad got bored and decided he didn't give a shit about other peoples safety.

I'm extra sick this week with some sort of mouth/throat infection that doesn't SEEM to be covid and I'm on antibiotics that are making me too nauseous to eat most of the time. Down to a record low 121.2 lbs (as a 6 ft tall man). If I end up with covid I'm fucking dead. Hell if I get the flu I'm probably dead. I'm obviously staying home as much as physically possible but unsurprisingly I still require food and to rush to the hospital where I risk dying from covid every time cause dumb fuck assholes can't just all quarantine correctly for like 3 weeks. This shit literally could have been over in march.
