I took a road-trip today to support one of my favorite breweries, which recently landed itself in mortal financial trouble.
https://www.mcall.com/business/mc-biz-weyerbacher-brewing-co-emerges-from-bankruptcy-20200306-3n27pvxkjfcgnipvauawfbg6ne-story.html
TL;DR Weyerbacher expanded big, but growth slowed and their expansion plans hinged on growth continuing to be explosive. This did not happen, so they went bankrupt and lost a bunch of market share(and shelf space, including in my neck of the woods).
Can confirm the beer is as great as ever, and I picked up a Weyerbacher pint glass, so I'll always have a memento if the worst happens. Currently using it to drink some of their 23rd Anniversary brew: a golden stout.

I figure Harp is busy with classes starting up, her reporter job and spending time with her boy toy will keep her occupied for a while.

Last time I saw Canuck, he mentioned having to get up early for work so he goes to bed early. I like to think he's secretly plowing through The Rockford Files though.

So my cat plays fetch....

I throw this little chain thing that usually acts as a switch for ceiling fans and she CHASES IT! AND CARRIES IT IN HER LITTLE MOUTH! Now if only I could get her to carry it to ME instead of the bathroom. I literally have no idea why she only takes it there. But hey, we've got a new game to play. She catches the chain, I.... catch the chain.... hmm....

I've had a couple of cats that would do the same thing, my girl right now will chase a metal bottle cap and bring it back to me and drop it on my foot. She will play for 10-20 minutes, it's pretty fun. I had one obsessed with stuffed mice also, he'd bring it back and try to tuck it between my leg and the couch cushion. I don't know what that instinct is to do that, I didn't train either of them.

Honestly, I let my wife go and pick out what she wanted. She being the frugal person she is she waited until she found a set she really liked on sale. Granted we didn't get the rings until like a year and a half into our marriage.

My wife didn't really do an engagement ring since there wasn't much of an engagement/proposal for us. Plus she thought it was stupid to put that much money into an engagement ring and not the wedding ring itself. Wedding ring has more importance to her.

We went and picked out our rings together. She got exactly what she wanted and it was a fun couples activity for us. It also helps remove the whole "how much money to put into the ring" situation. I think we spent about $3500 on hers and $500 on mine. We didn't go into the store planning to spend a certain amount or anything. She got the canary diamond she wanted with sapphires on each side which is my birth stone. For our 1 year anniversary, we bought her an anniversary band to compliment the wedding ring.

Pic of wedding rings:
https://imgur.com/a/OBgLSmJ

Also in regards to wearing a ring, it was really weird feeling for me at first but I adjusted. Now I feel naked leaving the house without it.

I thought that traditionally people only had one ring for the longest time. Like I thought engagement and wedding rings were used interchangeably lol.

Do men only have one ring though? My dad and brother just have a single band. My dads is gold and my brothers is silver. I think its tungsten or something, but its surprisingly heavy D:

I think "traditionally" it's supposed to cost about what you make in one month of work. My wife likes smaller jewelry and said many times she didn't want something large, I wound up getting her a 1 carat diamond ring and It was about $1800. She still says it was too much but I know she loves it, she's just a humble person when it comes to stuff like that.
