People do it ALL the time in TN, even if you are going like 10 mph over the limited, Billy Bob fatty in his giant raised pick up wants to ride 4 feet from your bumper like you are going 20 under. I can confirm this. >_< There's a highway I take after I get off the interstate where the speed limit is 50. I go the limit because it's a road the police have to use to get to their station. It's also the road anyone from the bigger city will use to get to the interstate. It's also the road used by state troopers to get to the bigger city. Point is, there are always police. Yet there's always somebody, everyday, riding my bumper to go faster. The upside is that I know of the two spots the police park their vehicles to make sure nobody is speeding. If people behind me are bumper riders, I make sure to slow down to the limit (maybe a mile or two slightly under) right before I get to those spots. In my town, even if i'm going the speed limit and pass a cop with someone legit 5-6 feet from my bumper, they never pull them over for following too close or wreckless driving. There are a LOT of deer, raccoons, wild dogs and cats around here, guaranteed if I need to slam my brakes for a deer especially, that asshole is in the trunk of my car.
