I'd have more respect for grabbing if 90% of it wasn't strictly for griefing other players and not at all productive towards winning yourself.

Slime climb is the only one where I think it's a legit strategy to grab at the end of a course Because of how that game works you're likely only having 1 or 2 rounds after that and reducing the total number of players is completely fair

All other times I utilize grab is only on various team games or final rounds where I find it useful

Is it legit strategy to stand at the end of that one yellow pillar and grab as many people as possible with no intention of finishing the level yourself?

Because that shit happens far too often.

Ive started keeping track of my Fall Mountain starting positions:

15, row 3
13, row 2
12, row 3
15, row 3

I just barely managed to win my most recent one though. Three of us all jumped for it at once.

I personally don't like grabbing because I'd rather just play to win myself, like winning by just being the best I can personally be rather than having to fuck with others. "But the best you can personally be doesn't always win because of the luck of the game" true but I don't mind, grabbing and fucking with other is just not my style

Yeah I feel the same. I never grab players unless the game requires it.

I only really grab in Tiptoe because if I don't I'm going to be bonked into and chucked 5 miles off the stage and then that's when someone will find the right path and I'll be eliminated.

Wow I got a Fall Mountain where I started first row right in the center, got SUPREMELY fucked by the falling balls to the point where I literally almost just stopped playing because of how many were in front of me but I was like ah fuck it fine, ALL OF THEM missed grabbing the crown at the top and I ended up winning. Like I was making my way up and I'm watching them all jump and miss and I'm like "wait is this actually going to happen" until there was one dude right in front of me at the crown and then I jumped right before him and grabbed it. P-Body is mineeeeee

Nice, I dont think Ive ever had a Fall Mountain game where someone in front of me missed jumping for it.

Grabbing has its strategies. Like I use it in block party, because the elimination quota is never met. When we get to the jumping parts if you do it before they jump that can mess people up.

I'd like games with more challenge from the actual stage itself rather than the people. I was talking about maybe a team version of Block Party where each team has their own side. First team to have all their players eliminated loses, so if you lose you can still cheer the rest of your team on as they jump, etc.

So rather than literally all of the challenge coming from the players around you, it's y'know, actually the stage that poses the challenge, which is pretty rare in this game.

I didn't know Block Party has an elimination quota. I thought it was like the match game where theoretically everyone can survive.

I'm pretty sure that's the only way I've won Fall Mountain >_> I don't ever run it perfect, I just run it well enough to put pressure on the Guys ahead of me so that they jump early and crown is mine.

Also I'm a grabber, but I don't do it maliciously. Times I have grabbed:

1) When the damn game starts me in the 3rd row for a race where starting placement matters (e.g. Fruit Chute) and I gotta be cutthroat to get ahead

2) Interference on Fall Ball goalie or ball spawning punter

3) Defensively on a survival game because someone has been interfering with me

4) For the lulz at say a Seesaw finish line if I know neither of us it's finishing in first and I feel like dancing or wrestling

I also tried to grapple a final opponent in Jump Showdown once, but got karma'd and lost so I don't do it anymore. Not that I've even SEEN Showdown in ages.

4 person fall mountain might be the lowest amount of players I've ever had on that stage. I swear no one was even halfway up the mountain when I reach the end they all much have gotten ball'd

People sure do post that starting row matters, but I really don't find it all that bad to be back row.

Did a game of Royal Fumble with 3 players which is basically congrats to the player that starts with the tail.

The best strategy I've seen and adopted for Royal Fumble is to just hope you start with the tail then leave the game so that nobody wins because fuck that game.

It has increased my enjoyment of it tenfold.

I had a game of jinx where both of the original jinxed people did not grab anyone. We spent 3 minutes just running around before something happened and others got infected.

damn, crazy they launched PS4 without invert x/y camera, i just wouldn't have been able to play if i was ps4

great list of changes though, i'm assuming pineapple is what they fixed with "visual changes to some outfits"

team games go infinitely better for me when i'm queued with at least one friend
