i probably would've day 1 bought fall guys anyway but seeing it was from the devs of murder by numbers definitely helped me feel good about dropping the 20$

i've only played case 1 of murder by numbers and i felt it was, uh, pretty amateur-ish but i still respect what they're doing and it wasn't bad at all.

Wow I just got a Slime Climb in round 2 with 39 people left, the most I had before that was like 29 I think and I don't think as early as round 2

I have seen Slime Climb first round 3 times.

7, 6 and 11 advanced

When I won Slime Climb last night, it was a round 2 game and only 5 survived.

There were also a couple of people waiting at the top deliberately trying to push people off the edge so they couldn't cross the finish line.

I just had a Slime Climb game not lead directly to the finals. 10 people survived so there was enough to make us suffer through a 5 vs 5 game of Fall Ball.

I feel like I crossed the finish line first in a game of Door Dash but I didn't get credit for it for whatever the reason

So with all the brands trying to get costumes in the game, the Twitter account has started a bidding war, with the highest bid getting their costume in. All money goes to charity.

In the first few hours we've gone from gaming brands, a server hosting site, and a bidet company holding the lead, among others. The current leader is MrBeast, a big Youtuber, with a $100,000 bid.

Third to last second tail grab in Royal Fumble yeah. I didn't even have the tail for the majority of the round, but a dum dum crossed in front of me with five seconds on the clock and I guess they didn't think I'd dive for it, but I did and no one could get close to me in the three seconds remaining. Welp!

Jump Showdown A+
My favorite finale, it's a bit of luck and bit more execution.
Hex A Gone A
Really fun stuff, though it gets worse with more people.
Block Party A
Once you've seen all the patterns it's just super easy, but still fun.

Good:
Jump Club B+
It's fun, it seems too rare and we have a superior version as a finale. This should have two bars OR falling tiles (randomly) so it's a little more interesting.
Whirlygig B+
It's fun with a few chaotic segments that don't feel like they ruin the entire race if you get caught up in them. Best race.
Rock N Roll B+
Like any team game it can be infuriating. This game truly needs a team queue with team queue currency and rewards. If you have a teammate trying to stop the first place team's ball before your ball is off the ledge, it's maddening. This course could use a couple of variants.
Fall Ball B+
I like when this comes up, I feel competent when I play, like my contributions tend to mean something. The usual team disclaimer here, a bad team and sometimes a competent griefer can completely ruin this.
Hit Parade B
Dizzy Heights B
Good fun races, happy when they come up.
Perfect Match B
This is somewhat poorly executed BUT it's easy to push a couple of people off. Because people can follow each other (the big screen fruit should be shown first and then the tiles change... they have this backwards) it's too easy but again, just shoving people off is an underrated bit of joy.
Door Dash B-
Crazy stuff, this is a necessary type of race.
Fall Mountain B-
A good finale, but you can start off behind and you have to hope that other people mess up. I also really don't like the crown moving up and down it just irks me
Gate Crash B-
It's OK, I think if they ever introduce more races, this will fall behind.
See Saw B-
This is either super easy and kinda fun... or fairly annoying. Another necessary piece of the FG experience for sure.

In the middle
Hoarders C+
I enjoy the game but it's never been a favorite
Roll Out C+
It feels easy to me and I am surprised how many people get eliminated, I just kinda run side to side until it's over. I liked this one a bit more earlier on in my time with the game.
Tip Toe C
It's missing something. It's just a gob of people most of the way, hard to even really use the proper strats. There are some obvious ways to fix this one up.
Slime Climb C-
I don't mind having an occasional brutal course, but it's not a lot of fun most of the time. When I finish, it's usually nicer to lose so much of the lobby instead of a good feeling that I did something well.

They should just have one of these games. The timer is too long. The team game should qualify both total time and tails at the end.
Hoopsy Daisy D
It's boring at best. The course is too big to have a good team defensive effort, and too small for individual heroics to matter.

Egg Scramble F
I get the strategy and I liked this game early on but it's mostly just boring to me now. The teams either pick on one team or it's just a mess of people grabbing in the baskets. This game is best when you can move, and occasional pileups really standout. Making a game that is just a gross pileup in baskets is bad imo.

Fruit Chute F
The worst. Get rid of the conveyor for most of the course, add other obstacles, etc. This feels like a really lazy beta version of a race and it's not fun even when you do well.

Top Tier:
Hex A Gone - THE premier Fall Guys game. It's perfect. There are multiple winning strategies, you always feel in control, and there's a healthy amount of randomness (not provided by the game, just on how the other players act). There's a perfect balance of "anyone can win" and "someone who's really good will still probably win".
Slime Climb - I really wish there were more races like this, where the object isn't to be in the top 70% of players to make it, it's just to survive. If they made a slightly easier Slime Climb-like game, that would easily be my favorite.
Whirlygig - Easily the best starting game. At the beginning, you have the fun part where you just fling yourself all over the place for giggles, and then the second half is the serious part where there's some good platforming, and you get to watch everyone fly way off the stage when you finish.

A slight step down:
Jump Showdown - I think the easiest fix for this would be to make all the platforms about half as narrow, and make it so the RNG never takes away an escape platform for you to jump to. Then if the bumpers line up, you always have somewhere to jump to, it's just way more difficult.
Fall Mountain - I think this game just needs one more set of obstacles thrown in. It doesn't really feel like a finale. A bit too short.
Tip Toe - This is definitely the game I've come around on the most. I used to hate it because it rewarded cowardice, but then I learned to always be watching the last two rows of blocks to have a better idea of where the final path is. There's little more satisfying in this game than watching everyone stuck on the third-to-last row, waiting for someone to take the risk, and you just jump past them and show everyone the 6 tiles they have to cover to get to the end.
Jump Club - Starts off way too slow. I mean I say that, but the game always ends within, like, a minute, so what do I know. I have still never lost at this game.
Rock N Roll - If I ever get thrown into a team game, I hope it's this one. Good balance of strategy and teamwork necessary here. DON'T FUCKING RUN OFF AT THE BEGINNING TO GRIEF THE OTHER TEAMS YOU'RE JUST THROWING THE MATCH YOU IDIOTS
Block Party - Fun game that defines Fall Guys, where the real obstacles are the players and not the stage. But very fun and has good music.
Fruit Chute - I really enjoy the idea behind this game, but there needs to be less incentive to hog the sides of the conveyor belt. They need to make everyone prioritize the middle and use reaction speed to dodge the fruit, not just run up the side.

These games exist:
Door Dash - The most RNG of the starter stages. If you get to the third to last stage and both doors are on the opposite side of you, well. Better luck next time.
See Saw - You better pray to God you get a decent starter position, or you're in for a hell of a time.
Gate Crash - Game plays out the exact same every single time. No RNG whatsoever. I can't remember the last time I didn't finish top 10 in this.
Hit Parade - Just an obstacle course. Not much else to say.
Dizzy Heights - see Hit Parade

Just a time-waster and spot-filler:
Fall Ball - It's an enjoyable game and would be much higher if I didn't see it in a good 75% of shows, and most of those come up in scenarios when there are like 10 players left and I'm expecting a finale next. Getting this game is always a disappointment.
Roll Out - This game is just there to make sure you're still awake. I don't get how anyone loses so quickly at this. It's so simple.
Royal Fumble - I used to hate this game, but the final 10 seconds are among the most frantic experiences the game has to offer.
Hoopsy Daisy - I honestly like this game a decent amount, but man can it be RUINED by RNG.
Jinxed - I feel like I should like this game more, but I don't. It has some nuanced strategy where if you're un-jinxed, you can grab un-jinxed players on the other team if they're being chased and help your team out, but it still ends up being a waiting simulator a lot of the time.

Game, why do you keep making me play these:
Tail Tag - At the top of this tier by virtue of not being a team game.
Hoarders - THIS GAME ELIMINATES LAST PLACE WHY ARE YOU ALL HARASSING THE TEAM WITH 5 BALLS INSTEAD OF THE TEAM WE'RE TIED AT 1 WITH
Perfect Match - I don't even know how to fix this game. It's just fundamentally broken and I don't know how to fix it. That said, once in a blue moon, you'll get a game where no one knows where to go for the last match and it eliminates 80% of the game out of nowhere, which is fun to watch.
Egg Scramble - Like Hoarders, this game has an issue where last place is fighting an uphill battle, except in this game, it's impossible. Oh, you started out with 13 eggs compared to 20 and 23 on the other teams? Well, might as well quit, because the next minute and a half are just gonna be those two teams making your life a living hell and the controls do NOT make it easy on you. Someone pointed out a brilliant fix for this, though. If they changed it so that it only displayed scores for the final 30 seconds, that could lead to some really fun matches.

Completely irredeemable:
Team Tail Tag - Just get this minigame out of here already. No one likes it, and no one ever will, no matter what changes are made.

I can hear the woo woos in my head...

I don't understand how anyone ever gets eliminated in Rollout. The only times I've been eliminated is when I first started out and dove into slime like a moron cuz I had no idea what the heck I was doing, and one other time when I underestimated how tilted a rolling platform would be when I dove into it and slid right off. Nowadays even when people are griefing me by trying to grapple and imbalance me it's so easy to recover that I can't get eliminated on it anymore.

Block Party is the better survival game because you can really screw someone over by grappling them right before a jump (and run the risk of failing to get over it yourself) which is fun. Also someone can just totally wipe out in front of you and take you down as they go. Frustrating but ultimately fun stuff.

Maybe I'll do a full ranking later now that I've seen all these several times.

Egg Scramble is the worst. The grabbing is annoying and most of the game I end up just grabbing other players. Or I'll be running with an egg and a teammate will grab me, causing me to drop it and have an opponent get it.

there's also little to no way to control what you're even grabbing. During that initial grab, I'll be directly facing an egg and literally over and over it'll grab a teammate to my left or right instead

It doesn't even really matter if your team grabs them because by the time they throw the one egg back in you can have another two out. You can also throw the egg toward a hammer and get its help in knocking it away.
