Oh also, what's the most players you've gotten on a Hex A Gone match, and the most you've gotten on one you've actually won? The most I've seen so far is 17 I think, and I just won one with 15 players around. It's so stressful having more people around for Hex A Gone

Got 18 player Hex the other day. Did not enjoy it. Way too hectic

The number of hackers is getting ridiculous. They fly at light speed to the finish the second a race starts. I just quit 6 times in a row before getting a game without one.

First time I've won a Hex a Gone on literally the last tile I could jump on starting to disappear at the very bottom level with nothing to jump on around me. That was a thrill.

I think using the full Chell costume has made become a target. The last two days I've noticed a lot of people grabbing and pushing me in survival games much more often than usual. I guess because it shows that I have a minimum of 7 wins and it makes them think I'm a good player/a threat?

I've heard people say exactly that. "Target the player with the costume that cost a lot of crowns"

Im sure this is the case. For the longest time I was wearing all legendary including the full ninja outfit. In two consecutive episodes I had one person aggressively target me during block party, and I got eliminated in one of them.

Ever since then Ive been cycling through common stuff. I might switch back to ninja at some point but I much prefer blending in as much as possible, its the better strategic move. Especially now that roll out and block party have gotten a bit more difficult since launch.

I switched to the default look and won the next episode. Other players barely touched me in Perfect Match and Jump Showdown.

I'M TRYING! I know the tech, but I can't implement it properly. Ergo, expensive costumes get targeted.

Never even thought about trying to manage this, but I had all gold finishes in a single episode. First place on door dash, whirlygig, survived perfect match and block party, then won Fall Mountain. Had to preserve the moment.

I've been very close to an all gold finish twice. Once I would've had it but I placed 2nd in See Saw. Another time I was the last person to fall in Hex A Gone.

I finally won a Jump Showdown after the last person grabbed me and we both went tumbling off and he died first so really couldn't have gone better.

I got my 2nd crown yesterday on Fall Mountain.

I still haven't won on Hex (had a couple of throws in rounds where I successfully positioned myself to have the most hexes available) and I haven't even played a round of Royal Fumble yet.

I usually dont do well at Fall Mountain because Im exclusively in the furthest back row. I have maybe 5 or so wins of Hex. I dont do the jumping strat because I mess that up too much so I just run and hope for the best.

Fall mountain should have been a bunch of identical individual tracks to race up the mountain.

My last fall mountain was a win because the crown rose on the person that actually made it up first.

I finally get front row and try to push the gate as I run up and the gate literally knocks me over twice for absolutely no reason (no ball at all pushing against it), and then the path I'm going down has 3 balls going straight down it

Yeah that's fair and fun

I'd be ok with Fall Mountain if it was longer and a bit more random elements to it. Not being in the front row and seeing at least 1 person run it perfect every time shouldn't happen.

I think you should always go to the right gate out of the beginning, even if you start on the left side. It feels like 99% of the time there's a ball that pushes the right gate but the left gate is always flat.

The right path is so easy and has like three variations to it. Once you know them all it's easy.

The only problem is I always get to the top first and the crown is going up so it gives time for others to catch up.

The servers are absolutely trash today

I'm getting a little burnt out because ever since the patch I rarely see my favorite team games anymore. In fact I rarely see team games at all and when I do it's Hoarders and Fall Ball 85% of the time.

The lack of team games has been great. Its quite nice when a round finishes and the number of players left isnt divisible by 2, 3, or 4.

The issue is that there are few ways for the # of players remaining to deviate in a meaningful way.

Round 1 will end with 39-43

Many of those results have the possibility to result in another 'stage 1' which will reduce it further to 29~ or so, and then if the next round has a set amount of eliminations (Rollout, Jump Club, etc) you'll end up in the mid/high teens which will either be even (fall ball) or odd (tip toe) before a final. It's only if you get a round that doesn't have predetermined eliminations (slime climb, block party) where MAYBE they stars will align and result in something like a Rock n Roll.

But it feels like you have a 2/3 chance to take a "normal" route through the games, and then a 1/3 chance to have a 50/50 chance to get something different, but you might just end up on the same games as before anyways.

Almost never see Team Tail Tag and Hoarders now. I do miss Rock N Roll though as they seem to go to Hoopsie Daisy as the default 3 team game.

See Block Party, Jump Club and Roll Out a lot more which is awesome.

Fall Ball constantly sucks though, now that people realize the ball falls in the center its not fun anymore

Never get Royal Fumble as a final anymore which is fantastic. Has also cut down my win rate though.

The game is freezing after every round so i have to relaunch. Consequently my tracker is not saving any of the information from the rounds.

I'll try to post the video but I screwed someone so hard in Royal Fumble. With 00 seconds left, they grabbed the tail. And then I grabbed it from them. It felt so clearly like the game was over and no reason why I was given the tail.

I did lose a Fall Mountain to someone that was flat out behind me and I don't really understand what happened.

only 2 more levels to 40. the grind in this game is so bad.

Yeah my reach-the-finals rate was like 9/12 today. Only won 1 of the 9 though.

I'm honestly a little blown away that they still haven't fixed the names issue on PC. Like I'm sure they're very busy tackling hackers and the general explosion of how popular their game is, but it's kind of absurd that such a basic thing has been broken for so long at this point.

IMO they realized it's a really good family game, and there's no way to police the vulgarity in the names--no matter what filter they put on, there will always be workarounds. So I'm thinking they're just gonna stick with the numbers.

Although if the names issue is ONLY on PC then I guess I'm wrong.

It's only on PC - it's not because of vulgarity or anything, people were injecting HTML into their names and using it to cause visual shenanigans.
