Sure, it's nice, but it doesn't make her interesting in any way. Most of her scenes are boring. You can make a nice character who has a personality if you write them well enough.

Oh yeah, speaking of which, I made it to Satorl Marsh in Xenoblade today, and it was cool seeing it transition into nightfall. It reminded me a lot of the Moonflow in FFX.

I haven't been keeping track, but I've been doing all the sidequests as I get them and I've knocked out a few others that weren't part of a sidequest.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention something my wife said when I was playing FFX last night. I've learned she has a solid intuition for plot twists. She guessed that Jecht became Yevon at some point because the Yevon prayer is the same as the blitzball sign for victory (she still thinks this is 1000 years in the future). I had to laugh because she's not THAT far off!

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Season 3 Episode 8 complete!

That was the kind of episode that reminded me why I love this series so much in the first place. It hits all the high notes. Yukinoshita's mom is a lot more like Haruno than I expected! Speaking of Haruno, she's been really interesting this season. She wants to see something genuine, too, huh? Also, I like how Hikigaya and Hayato have this mutual disdain for each other that somehow results in them liking and respecting each other at the same time. It's a unique dynamic.

IIRC, this happens at the end of Satorl Marsh, right? How did you feel about that area, and did you experiment with Dunban at all?

It was really cool. The music that plays at night is just lovely. I messed around with Dunban a bit, but I couldn't really get a feel for him so I switched back to Shulk.

I decided to go back to Colony 6 and mess with the new sidequests that have popped up before I head into the next section.

Also I finished the Kilika Cloister of Trials in FFX, so now I'm off to Luca. I'm curious to see how my wife reacts to the big plot reveal at the end of this next part!

I think Dunban has good AI relative to other party members, so he might actually be more valuable in the 2/3 slot - especially if you set Peerless as his only Aura. He'll activate it at the start of most battles, and Shulk/Reyn will immediately benefit.

Yeah, I've been rolling with Shulk/Reyn/Dunban most of the time, and I haven't had many problems other than when I've attempted to punch above my weight class.

Like trying to take out all those bad guys at once in the Exile Fortress.

Satorl Marsh at night was probably my first "wow" moment with an area in Xenoblade. Loved that place.

Xenoblade Chapter 6 beated

Not much to see inside the Bionis, I guess! Reminded me a lot of the Monstro world in Kingdom Hearts though. We also got a sneak peak at something from the Mechonis, featuring two female Mechons with faces. Everything she said was so cryptic that it didn't make much sense though.

Also I started the Colony 6 reconstruction project. It seems like a pretty worthwhile investment, even if it'll be kind of a pain trying to get the stuff I need without markers to guide me like regular sidequests.

Yeah, I've already had that happen for random stuff I've picked up. Juju will kind of tell me vaguely where I can find stuff I don't have yet, but it's a lot easier to hunt those down when you can mark a quest active on the map!

and two of them are stories that have already been released, Random Numbers and Seven Wonders Overtime

but I'm in for Tsuruya's Challenge

and hopefully it means the anime can continue

Tsuruya's Challenge is supposed to be over 250 pages long so it's a lot beefier than the other two short stories. For comparison Melancholy was 307 pages and Surprise Part 1 was 296 pages.

Courtesan of a Nation arc beated in Gintama! Definitely the best one yet.

I think the fact that it's normally such a silly anime really adds weight to when Gin gets serious. The scene where Gin lunges at Sada Sada after the latter reveals that he cut off Maizo's other arm was particularly amazing. And we finally got some actual backstory rather than just vague suggestions!

It was also great to get more Imai (I absolutely love her character design, and am now probably going to waste a few hours seeing if I can find some comparable FF14 glam); hoping she's becoming a regular so she can challenge Kagura and Tsukuyo for the title of best girl...!

F/GO: Aww yeah F/Z event this looks like it could be fun since we're palling around with Adult!Waver who is like "fuck this grail war" and immediately has us interfere immediately to change events lol.

also i got Hessian Lobo when i threw some tickets at the banner which... wasn't exactly what i was aiming for (whiffed hard on Event CEs) but it's nice to finally have an Avenger. Or heck, just a non-Mash Extra Class at all.
