They dont give you many options to start out so theres not a ton to figure out early on.

Yeah, I think the auto battling was throwing me off because I was hitting buttons and sometimes stuff would happen and sometimes it wouldn't. I didn't play much, just enough to get to Colony 9.

I'm also playing Trails From Zero bit by bit but I never make much progress in a single session. Crossbell is just so stinkin' big!

Went ahead and watched the first episode of The Office. They really try to walk a fine line with the awkward comedy.

Yeah the original British show thrived on that but it doesn't come across as well in the American series. It gets better when it becomes its own thing.

I think the depressing comedy is still top tier though in the original.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Chapter 16 complete!

I enjoyed the Red XIII theme remix, as well as the Those Chosen by the Planet remix, there. Red XIII's intro was pretty cool, too. I really liked all the new additions to this part of the game here.

Also, my wife is convinced that Cloud's big secret is that he's an Ancient. Maybe in this version...!

wait are they turning Final Fantasy VII into Tales of the Abyss? With this whole concept of "the planet has an inescapable fate and there's nothing you can do about it?" Or at the very least it tries really hard to stop you if you get off course. I'm not sure how I feel about that. This feels totally unnecessary.

Sherlock might be my favorite TV show period. Luther's probably my second favorite British show. Real good stuff. The Office and Whose Line are interesting, since they have American versions I'm more into. Doctor Who has a lot of great parts, but I wasn't as into the last couple seasons.

past the best arc in persona 5 royal (in palace 5 now)

Yeah, there was no redemption to be found. If anything it might actually be slightly worse because Royal has replaced almost all of the "you should go to bed" dead time with "You're confined to Leblanc but you're allowed to do any activity there like study/read/tools/etc." to the point where I think there have only been 3 truly dead nights in the game to this point.

that number then doubled because of best arc so it feels worse by comparison.

Palace 5 had its ID Card hunt way streamlined though, so that was nice.

Cold Steel 2 NG+ beated. Ok obviously Thomas was a weird guy that knew more than he let on. But are you kidding me with Rosine? Completely out of nowhere, but it's fine since she was always a high tier npc.

Also for running a team of Crow, Vita, Lloyd and Rixia was pretty insane in that final dungeon. Talk about a victory lap.

Eh, Rosine didn't surprise me but playing Trails in the Sky first would probably make thar reveal more understandable!
