also I didn't realize you could jump off literally anywhere as long as there's a place to land below you

and I got KO'd for the first time, but returning to the most recent landmark was pretty beneficial after I ended up way away from Colony 9 without being sure how to get back quickly

and now we learn that the Monado can't cut people, and Shulk occasionally has strange visions when he's holding it. People believe it was wielded by the Bionis, although wouldn't it have to be a lot bigger than that?

I'm still just in Colony 9 and running around finding new people, new items, etc. is kind of addicting.

The Xenoblade games are kind of unrivaled when it comes to worlds. It's amazing how good the aesthetic design of everything is (and also amazing that no other games have made a beautiful world on their level). I've never played another game where I'd say the world is the best part.

I adore the world of Skies of Arcadia. It's one of the few JRPGs that made me want to see every part of the world map.

Yeah, the Xenoblade worlds are A++. Xenoblade X has my favorite but they're all great.

I'd be offering some advice/help on things but it's been soooo long since I played Xenoblade I don't remember any of the answers on 99% of the gameplay stuff. =(

One of my favorite things was how quickly you recovered HP on the field - made exploring really manageable and fun.

though it does almost always reduce fall damage to either meaningless or fatal which is pretty funny

yeah the auto-healing on the field is really nice since it eliminates a lot of worry that usually accompanies exploring

I'm at the Tephra Cave now, with Shulk, Reyn, and Fiora in my party.

It was always super fun to try and uncover the whole map in an area and figure out how to sneak past all of the ultra-high level mobs way before I was supposed to.

One cool thing they added in Xenoblade DE that wasn't in the original game is Expert Mode. It's essentially an exp management tool that lets you freely move exp to or from a per character side pool. It lets you go around exploring and completely quests as much as you want without having to worry about getting way ahead of the game's exp curve and just stomping enemies until it catches up again. It even lets you automatically forward quest and exploration exp to the side pool so you can apply it to the characters whenever you want.

You still need to earn the exp by one way or another. But once you have the exp you can apply it to the character or remove it from that character. Although characters still have a minimum level you can't go below.

Xenoblade Chapter 2 beated

I had a feeling Fiora wouldn't be around long because she had much fewer clothing options than Shulk and Reyn, but that was brutal (although isn't she supposed to be in the new epilogue? I feel like I kept seeing that! Maybe that's premature spoilers!).

Also again I'm pretty sure Smash Ultimate spoiled the identity of the faced Mechon, although based on how he was acting in the prologue, it wouldn't be all that surprising! Maybe Fiora will come back as a faced Mechon or something...!

Also I can see why people like Dunban. He's pretty cool.

That's very possible! I can't exactly remember their name, so I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be her or not.

But maybe the real twist is that all Mechons are actually humans, er, Homs (I think it's dumb when a game tries to give humans a name that's close to human but isn't. Just call them humans!)

After getting GTO to the top 20 or something and Monster further than that (with assistance) in one SMFAS I instituted a personal no-trading rule because I already felt like I was falling in too deep. I dont know how the people who get way more invested than that do it!

I retired from the anime contest after Haruhi won because it wasn't getting any better than that!

But yeah, it's tough when a trade alliance falls through because the other person defects. Gen and I were pretty good B8 buddies before that happened one year. I guess I shouldn't take it personally but it just feels like "oh I guess we aren't as good of friends as I thought we were" so between that and the antagonism of people who thought I was doing a bad job, it wasn't worth it anymore.

I don't think I've intentionally clicked on a SMFFFC topic since I quit being the host.

It's always possible the XV world will be revisited one day and that kind of canon will matter. Probably not for a long time though because VII is now the "current" FF game. And speaking of, any predictions on Part 2 and 3?

So one of my wife's friends got to talk to Vic Mignogna on the phone today. Apparently the guy she works for wrote a Christian movie that Vic was in back in 1985, and he wanted a copy of it for some reason. I looked it up on IMDB to see if it had a listing, and it does!
