If I see them walking around with their shoes on I wear them. Otherwise I just take them off because that's what I do at home. I don't know why it's a thing to walk around in your house with dirty ass shoes.

Wearing shoes inside people's homes is mostly a USA thing. Zeus can't claim otherwise, I'm pretty sure he lived in Calgary when he lived in Canada. I also live in southern Alberta, nobody does that.

Only if invited to or it's a quick trip in and I've asked permission. I generally don't wear them in my own house, so I'm not about to do so for others unless I've got an explicit indication that it's fine.

No, it's not, we're not barbarians. I've literally never been in a house anywhere in Canada where shoes were left on. America is pretty much the only place that does this in the developed world.

Are shoe racks common where you are? I know they exist and have seen them. But I rarely do. I had one when I was young, but it was in my room for my shoes. And my mom had one in her room for her shoes. y asian friend may have had one next to her door, but I don't think anyone outside the family used it if they did (Even she just slid her shoes off by the door). So, while I see them sometimes, it's not very often. And when I do, it's in a bedroom...

Yes, but that really is not all that rare, large enough differences to cause back deformities are slightly rare, which combined with everything else wrong with my legs and feet, lets just say I am happy to no longer require custom-made orthopaedic shoes.

I don't have to "claim" otherwise because that's how it is. I lived in Calgary and spent time in other parts of Canada. People going without shoes was about as rare as it was in the US.

I don't wear them in my house, but that doesn't mean I take them off in other peoples' homes unless they ask. There's a lot of shit I do in my home that I don't just assume I can do in other peoples' homes.

Which is also bullshit, but I'm guessing you've never really been outside Canada so you're just making a weird generalization. (Granted, to the best of my awareness, Asian nations tend to be shoes-off, but I've never been to an Asian country so I'm not sure how true that might actually be.)

This is true, but it's also true that some people have some nasty feet. Especially after sweating.

Its kind of hard to be on your side. While youve lived in Canada, it doesnt seem like it was you while life. Just a portion of it. And AFAIK, you arent there anymore. But all of the people that currently like there (and may have grown up there, as well) say otherwise. Its much easier to believe that they know the current situation better than someone who lived there for a short time, who also doesnt live there anymore... No offense...
