Sadly some of the best are Japanese only (though I only play games in Japanese myself). My love of that genre helped me get into Japanese to begin with. I think pretty much everyone agrees the best DRPGs released in English on Vita are Dungeon Travelers 2 (skip the first one), Demon Gaze 2 (first is also good), and finally Stranger of Sword City Revisited (make sure it's the Revisited version, this is not the same as the earlier version also on Steam). If you can do Japanese get which is not only cheap, but includes a free copy of Stranger of Sword City Revisited. S adds a number of additional features, especially compared to the Japanese original which had no voice acting at all. I also really liked Astral Chain, but I am a sucker for anything Platinum Games makes. For DRPGs on Switch Coven of Dusk as mentioned, and a really great story oriented series that started on Vita but has a far superior version on Switch, Mary Skelter. Buy Mary Skelter 2 for Switch and it includes a free remake of the original. Otherwise you just kind of steamroll everything as is the standard for most RPGs now.
