I did know that, but I would never have figured it out myself.

I never played the NES version, but just based on the DS remake FF3 is pretty easily my least favorite game in the series. Even 2 I kinda enjoy, but 3 was just totally mediocre

Got to level 50 in Eureka!

Still need 177 crystals, 2 flames, and 7 actions before I can finish the Pyros upgrades for my weapon, though

Hydatos is quite comfy. I like it here.

Yeah, Hydatos feels like a bit of a victory lap. Mob placement isn't obnoxious, no real choke points.

Unfortunately, they are WAY more miserly about crystals here.

Came back recently and caught up MSQ wise. Also cleared normal Eden in its entirety (E1-E8). Very fun fights.

Really loved the FF8 callbacks in Eden. Cmon, gimme that remix of The Extreme when the third Eden tier comes out

I kinda want the +1 def (partially because it looks like the claw will be kinda annoying to sell, and if I decide I want it later I'll have eaten the MB fees which are pretty significant on a 5M item!). I'd have to buy the other two items though, which would be over 2M.

it probably never was, i had mine drop naturally before my ceto claw so i never actually bought one

Yeah at least on Lamia goldemar is like 2M and molech is like 200k (though come to think of it server hopping would definitely be worthwhile here if I do decide to buy them).

I'm kind of expecting the dark force to be Ultimecia in some form but also the plot is being done by Nomura and I'm not sure he'd do that to his new goth waifu or if the writers want to focus mostly on Eden itself for the lore

You know what, I had read he was at the start of the expansion but in a more recent interview after PAX East, Yoshi-P said he is just doing character designs, so maybe the initial interview was mistranslated or something.

I don't think Nomura is writing the Eden story. He's only listed on the 5.2 Patch site as the character designer for Gaia, in contrast to Copied Factory that explicitly lists Yoko Taro as a guest creator.

What I think it means is that if you die your gear durability still gets decreased, but your durability will no longer go down after an enemy dies until you either clear or leave the instance. This was a big deal in any raid or trial that has a lot of adds - probably the best current example is TEA, where 4 adds have to die within about a minute of pulling. If you have a lot of 2 to 3 minute wipes (very common if you're progging the latter parts of Living Liquid or Limit Cut) your gear just gets destroyed very quickly.

I believe expert is supposed to just be the two highest level dungeons. The new one is rotating in.

So as far as I can tell the 490 crafter/gatherer gear is gated behind a mat that you can only get with the new BT tokens

Seems like that's gonna really slow things down

I've seen reports you can get the slithersand mat for 500 yellow scripts as well, so you can theoretically get the equipment now and not wait for beast tribes
