Wasn't really affected until today, when my company announced they'll split the workforce by having 50% of people work from home at a time in 2 week shifts, then rotate.

Also, a concert I was supposed to go to next week has been cancelled.

I'm going on vacation in the beginning of May. With all the panic about covid-19, I cancelled my hotel reservation and rebooked at a significantly lower rate.

Nothing here, still not necessary to take measures like work from home or not going to school.

I'm honestly getting tired of always hearing about the corona virus.

I know it's pretty serious but I'm starting to miss our old discussions.

I was going to fly out to Vegas for the NFL draft but decided to cancel after hearing about all the leagues and events shutting down or getting suspended. Would have been fun but maybe next year.

I already avoid leaving the house and try to interact with people as little as possible

So this has been a pretty smooth transition for me

I work at a grocery store and we continually are breaking sales records and we're sold out of toilet paper

University shutting down for a month, there goes my teaching gig for a while.

We saw some panic buying at the supermarkets. Toilet paper is sold out.

A prescription drug my SO needs is out of stock. Likely (though not confirmed) a Chinese supply chain issue.

My corporate office sent a hand sanitizer dispenser to my restaurant. :-P

More carryout, more delivery, less dining in. Otherwise, business as usual.

Up north. My city has the odd confirmed case but it still doesn't effect my life outside of what I said at this stage. I doubt it ever will too.

I signed up for the PE Exam in April months ago and just got an email saying it will be cancelled. LOL

• My job just mandated everyone at our HQ were I work to start work from home starting Monday. For at least the next two weeks.

• My job is connected with the medical workforce so we've had additional stuff added to our routine to address people inquiring about covid19 and steps to deal with our patients with potential cases or just fear/questions.

• People are panicking and buying out things like jackasses like Toilet paper and water at local stores. Which is going to cause issues for everyone.

• I have a healthy respect/fear for contracting it, as I'm diabetic so I have a higher risk of it causing me extra complications should I get it and have a higher chance of being one of those 1-4% of people that die from it. But I still think we are drastically over reacting to this. This isn't the Bubonic Plague

I got an extra week of spring break

in-person classes are cancelled until May

In-person final exams might also be cancelled

an event I was attending next week got cancelled, so I cancelled my hotel booking

I have a cold and everyone is avoiding me like I have the plague

no idea when Ill see my friends or gf again, as most are packing up and leaving college since classes are online now

my job was at a school that is closed until further notice so Im gonna run out of money soon

I have this new acid reflux thing that is causing me to be congested and coughing all the time (mostly when I wake up or after I eat anything, I have a pill for if I eat, but it only works for a short time after I take it).

Now I cough most of the time as well as it has gotten worse over the last week *sigh*.

I don't feel comfortable going out anywhere while coughing at this point as it might scare people, and I can't stop coughing anymore, so now I'm basically going to have to self quarantine, just so I don't freak people out.

It's probably a good idea anyway though because if I did get it, with diabetes, high blood pressure, this horrid thing with my lungs/acid reflux etc, even if it didn't kill me, I am sure I would wish I was dead.

UGH.

The casino I work at has been putting hand sanitizer/wipes all over the place and got better cleaning material for everyone. They've also relaxed attendance rules and sick day policy for people who aren't feeling well.

Some guy i don't know who works in an office got it. I don't even remember what his name was. My roommate complains about getting less gigs and borrowed a hundred bucks from my bro(he's never returning it) . Then again that fugger was always bad with money. Temperature checks twice a shift at work.

*sigh* Okay. Where to begin. Mostly minor stuff compared to actually catching it, but:

- Ludovico Einaudi concert tonight postponed (he's stuck in his native Italy); Tarja concert + meet-and-greet next week also postponed (things are starting to get worse for Finland); on top of that, Evanescence & Within Temptation at the end of April also postponed... :(

- My GP surgery began this week by handing out the few printed prescriptions they still do (mainly controlled drugs) from the outside window rather than allowing people to enter the waiting room to get them, before stopping all routine in-person appointments for the duration, and yesterday closing entirely until the outbreak is over...

My online grocery shop was delayed by a day because everybody's suddenly ordering online (I regularly do it, being disabled), & when I got it half the dog food was a brand my German Shepherd won't eat...

And finally, this morning my agency caregiver turned up in full PPE: mask, hairnet, double gloves, apron & shoe covers.

Sigh. I'm glad I'm not really at risk yet, since if I do get it I might be seriously ill (if I didn't actually die!), and I'd be so worried about the dog if I wound up in hospital, but so far things have been pretty tedious. I rarely get to go out after dark, so I really look forward to gigs when I get to go to them. This sucks :(

One of my co-workers is in quarantine and is working from home for the near future (his wife has a weakened immune system, so just a precaution) and my lead might have to as well for a couple of weeks since his son is coming back from a trip to LA. Oh, my mom's nursing home is no accepting visitors until further notice. Othen then that, not much really. I have to go to the supermarket tomorrow, hopping the panic has died down since then. I don't really need anything that the hoarders are grabbing (toilet paper, water, etc.) but I just don't want to be stuck in a check-out line for half an hour so I can buy my dozen or so things.

At my job things have slowed down. They've talked of issuing us gloves (since we drive cars from the local airport to various rental car branches) but so far our company hasn't done anything other than insist that they won't let us drive filthy cars any more (people can be such pigs sometimes). They have, however, provided hand sanitizer in all of their branches for their agents and office people (who are in close proximity with one another). Other than the wipes I've brought in to clean keys and things I touch with, we have no protection whatsoever.

early last week, i told my boss i'm just going to be working from home, and the next day they announced confirmed cases in our city. then the museum my wife works at decided to close their doors, basically putting her out of a job for who knows how long, ok?

this whole thing is stressful, ok?

So far at work it hasn't been much different. I work at a restaurant as a delivery driver, and it's been pretty slow in the early hours of the afternoon, but normal later.

But my classes and nursing clinicals are cancelled, and I was supposed to have a test next week. So idk what is going to happen with all that

Sister had an important appointment in Melbourne (quite a few hours drive, luckily we diverted around toll roads). This was arranged back in December. Very busy guy.

When we turned up there around 11am, we waited around half an hour before they told us the person wasn't allowed in because he 'had flulike symptoms and a cough', which was whispered to us. So then we paid for the parking, drove home and essentially had our time and fuel wasted. Roughly six hours driving in total.

The person rang my mother up the next day to arrange things, and told us he only had 'a sniffling' (I presume runny nose?) and due to the Coronavirus concerns wasn't allowed to work. He told them Monday, which meant they had the means to tell us before we drove there Tuesday. (And they were aware we were driving from far away)

So whilst this is very, very minor compared to more serious 'experiences' it is still something.
Also panic buying in this small town is annoying. << Why do people think they need to stockpile all of a sudden.

All social functions cancelled. Work has been pretty normal except there are hand sanitizer dispensers everywhere now. Lots of panic buying at Walmart. Shelves for ground beef, dairy, bread, and frozen pizzas were all bare or nearly bare. Didnt even bother checking toilet paper or paper towels.

The State of NY told my state worker wife to say home till the March 31st this afternoon. It seems they are having many non essential workers stay home with pay. Bars, Movie theaters and restaurants in NYS need to close at 8pm tonight.

Graduate school pushed all classes to online learning. My practicum field experience is fully suspended, and no one knows what that means for us. Whole college is basically shut down the entire rest of the semester. It's been very disruptive in the education scene. All conferences across the country have been indefinitely postponed. None of the planned social events are happening. It's pretty depressing.

I haven't had to move out of graduate housing, but all the undergrads, outside of extenuating circumstances, have had to move out.

Seriously irritated since I can't get a home delivery slot for 10 days, by which time I'll have run out of food. I can't go to the supermarket, because, as I mentioned before, I'm high-risk. As for getting my supplies from another store or Amazon, they're in similar situations, and the prices for staples on Amazon are ridiculous right now. 14.99 for just one kitchen roll, for one example! I can't get my dog's regular food online either, all the suppliers seem to be sold out :( so it's getting worse.

Still working. Amount of morons we've seen coming to get tested has increase, as well as the endless stories I could tell people but can't. I mean, it's exactly what we need: idiots panicking and wasting everyone's time to get tested based on nothing.

The following products are basically empty where I shop: Bread, pastas, water, toilet paper, ramen noodles cups, eggs, floor, sugar, etc.
