It's okay. The graphic novel was better.

Was going to point out that it was based on a comic, for those who didn't know.

It wasn't really a graphic novel, though, as much as it was a series of trade paperbacks.

Bonus fun fact - it was written by Stephen King's son.

I watched that and "The Pharmacist" as well about a guy in New Orleans trying to find out who killed his son during a drug deal gone wrong. I also watched "The Foreigner" starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. In the movie, Jackie Chan plays an ex Vietnamese special ops soldier who owns and runs a restaurant in London. He takes his daughter to buy a dress and when she entered the store, a few moments later a bombs goes off killing her. It's suspected that the IRA is involved so Chan sets out to find the killers.

Pierce Brosnan plays the N Ireland deputy First Minister who was once a member of the IRA but Chan thinks he's more involved than he leads on/

Also ironic, considering the current utter void of quality their current writers are producing.

But it might just mean that they don't consider Joe Hill to be woke enough.

Just watched ep 7, Ugh, just ugh. It's just so annoying when characters in a show make the worst choice after the worst choice, for the only reason being to progress the plot.

Im not that far yet, but this has been my main gripe with the show.
The production values are good, the acting is pretty decent for the most part, and overall its been entertaining to watch, but the plot doesnt even try to make any sense sometimes, and none of the characters (villain included) do what would actually be the most sensible things to accomplish their goals (because the story would just be over already otherwise).
