Like, there's a reason the Republican Party didn't impeach Obama. They knew he wouldn't be convicted. Sure, they could have gotten a majority of votes in the Senate to convict, they could have 6 months of trial and hundreds of witnesses, but they wouldn't get the conviction. And the acquittal would benefit the Democrats in the 2016 election. So the Republicans didn't impeach.

A little late to this but having all the primaries on the same day is a bad idea, IMO. It would disproportionately advantage those with a ton of money to spend by setting a prohibitive cost for running because you'd have to basically run a national campaign. Basically it'd favor people like Bloomberg with "fuck you i'm rich" money because he and Steyer are basically the only ones who can afford to - and are - running that kind of campaign with their incessant national ad buys.
That said I agree that something like 5 groups of 10 states going at a time would be good. Or 10 groups of 5, whatever, with the order they go in rotated after every cycle. Have the groups decided in a way that aims to be representative of the people and after every full rotation is completed maybe have a chance to tinker with the groups in case demographic changes knocks it a bit out of wack - so once every 20 or 40 years. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? ...
