But man was this game ever the display of why the Chiefs are the scariest and most dangerous team in the league.
For 54 minutes they were absolutely not even close to the best team on the field and were down by double digits. ...they end up winning the game by double digits. Mahomes was really poor and had a terrible stat line until he threw a few passes to wide open dudes for either huge yardage or TDs late in the game, and suddenly his terrible stats became merely bad. Anyway, Brees has been consistently good (and with multiple teams and a bunch of different players around him) over a long period of time regardless of stat-padding which makes the comparison a bit goofy. ...
