Klavier is the German word for "piano," so I don't think he's supposed to be Swedish. Not to mention, the European words he uses are also German, so I'm not sure where that came from.

although the game later reveals that his European accent is fake so I'm pretty sure he's just an American pretending to be something he's not like Jake Marshall

4-3 isn't the atrociously God-forsaken case many will have you believe it is. IMO it's more boring than anything else.

4-3 is the only case in the series that has ever made me yell at my DS while playing it because the case against Machi is so absurdly full of holes and yet Apollo is incapable of finding a single one of them

I always just assume that "German" is code for "American in the original Japanese version".

I presented the room schematic to prove that Lamiroir couldn't have seen the body to know that he was shot, but got slapped down. Instead I was supposed to present the gag order? Give me a ****ing break.

I knew in one second that Lamiroir would be talking about long hair guy. On the other hand, I don't yet know the killer for sure, so at least there's some mystery left.

I'll say for sure that this is one of the weakest trials in the series so far.

Episode 3 beated.

I understand the hate for this episode. It's extremely convoluted even by the series' standards, but the mystery itself is obvious because the series has already played the "the real crime took place at a different time" card multiple times. Nothing really makes sense from beginning to end (I don't want to go into every example), a lot of people have to behave completely unreasonably ("I must protect the magician's secrets even if it gets my friend killed"), the killer is just sort of lame, and they play that stupid cutscene way too many times. Worst of all, though, is the issue with really specific evidence you have to present, or the logic of a piece of evidence being really obscure. I had to look up a walkthrough multiple times to get through this, especially for how to use the stupid soundboard. Even after the game points it out to me, I still don't buy the "this proves you could play this one-handed" explanation. A bunch of times, I wanted to be like "if firing this gun would injure a normal person, then surely a little kid couldn't do it without clearly injuring himself." There's also the obvious disconnect between "you need decisive evidence to prove Detective Hairdo did it" and "We're going to charge the kid with the crime because no one else could fit through an air vent."

I can understand ignoring all of that and still getting behind the episode, but I imagine even the people who like it still agree it's one of the weaker ones.

This kid just stole a magnum from a detective, shot him with it without hurting himself, then dragged a body three times his size out of the room and up a massive scaffolding. Nothing out of the ordinary there, ayup.

I found Daryan, Machi, and Lamorior all to be infuriating characters.... the former because he's flat out mean and unpleasant, and the latter two because they would NEVER cooperate. That's the main reason I don't like 4-3. I'd rather deal with Wocky Kitaki than those characters.

I really started to like Machi when I saw some of the wrong option dialog during his testimony - there's one point where Machi shit talks you in his language and then Lamiroir can't help but stifle a laugh that I find extremely funny, but I don't remember the exact line
