Hey, I am at the very least trying to set up a bunch of WM storylines, whether they are good ideas or not. I admit some of these sound bad on paper or would lead to matches people might not care about, but I would rather try taking some risks. Not to mention, we have two royal rumble matches, so having a few shorts matches aren't a bad idea if they lead to something.

Though the fact I am suggesting these non finishes as my "preferred" take probably goes to show how little faith I have in WWE nowadays.

Haven't watched in quite some time and just tuned in out of curiosity after the Basketball game. I don't understand the ref stepping in to see if Becky is knocked out and not letting Asuka just pin her in that situation.

Thats how it works now. Asuka can push the issue with a pinfall attempt if she can get past the ref but the ref has to know at all times if someone can continue or if the match needs to be stopped

Just when you think WWE just can't do anything right, they got dragged kicking and screaming into the right decision. They've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting on that Drew push, and they finally went with it.

Now they just have to make it stick, and get that fucking title off Lesnar.

Also, first off, I just want to say how great that run with Brock Lesnar was. They made a 'one man eliminates everyone as they come in' story WORK.

#2. Elias - He pokes fun. He knows he's going in the ring with Brock, he's the sacrificial lamb, he jokes around and pisses the beast off, and gets a big splintering guitar shot and an easy, but memorable first elimination.

#3. Erick Rowan - Okay, we might get what's in the cage stuff. That'd be dumb, but okay. Nope, big man goes in, big man goes out. Fodder #2.

#4. Robert Roode - Okay, they're feeding the Beast. I got it. Roode could maybe put up a fight, but no. Goodbye.

#5. John Morrison - Alright, he came back early, so he might stick around for a bit! Do some parkour and keep himself alive, especially since he's freshly back! Oh, wow. I didn't expect him to go THAT fast. Anything really can happen.

#6. Kofi - Here's where it starts getting great. Kofi comes in with FIRE and goes at Brock with the most offense so far. He's taken care of, but Brock's gonna play with him. Okay, okay, we've got our hope spots!

Like, I'm putting this down right now as immediate reaction because who knows what the future prognosis of the match will be. "It was so boring. Brock just eliminated everyone one-by-one. The match didn't really even start until halfway through." To those future naysayers and cynics, I say thee NAY!

Edit: Like, just switch the first half of the card with the last half, and it wouldn't be anywhere near as good. Very well booked train into Brock.

This was an excellent run because of Brock's character work and the storytelling. Running through three IWGP IC champions in a row, the cockiness with Lee, overcoming the team-up of legitimate rivals who had a chance... there was actual intricacy to this run.

The entire point of this match was to use Lesnar as a vehicle to get the next guy over. Had Lesnar won, it would have been the stupidest fucking thing outside of the 15 Rumble, where WWE just had NO ONE left that anyone wanted to win. But the story was, "Lesnar doesn't want to defend his title at a "token" Rumble match anymore," so he got fucked. Reigns winning this year would have been like Rollins last year: safe, if annoying. but No. They used the fear of status quo to do something they probably SHOULD have done since Drew came back: strap the rocket on him, but hey. Better late than never.

Reigns probably doesn't need a Rumble win ever in his life to be a credible threat, so this is how they should use Reigns: "ANYONE BUT YOU" is a legit thing they can use every single year to do things just like this. But the final 5-6 guys after Corbin and Ziggler were eliminated were people the crowd would have accepted as winners. Freaking Edge man. Hot damn.

WWE can still surprise.
