I have never really cared for Drew Mac but it was great seeing this great big badass of a man break down in tears after accomplishing that last night. I loved seeing the emotion come through because of how far he's come. Big props.

And though I also don't really care for Broken Dreams, it would be DOPE if that's what he came out to from now on.

Drew is a top tier babyface who has been in the heel role so often in wwe that people don't know it. But the emotion that extha responded to there is a big part of why. He can really connect with an audience given a chance.

now i've actually watched the men's rumble I can definitively say it was my favourite of all time. the brock stuff in particular was literal perfection, from everything Brock did, to the people that got offense on him, how the offense was sold, Brock's flawless reactions to everything and the amazing moment for Drew. Even though it fell off a little after Brock was eliminated, it picked back up again around Edge coming in, and overall was the most I've enjoyed anything from WWE in years. I've given it a 4.5 rating, and I normally don't think of the Rumble match in recent years as anything I'd even bother rating, but this is going to stand as one of the most memorable things WWE did this year and I want it reflected on my match sheet.

I keep watching the Edge return back, and Jesus Christ. That is probably the best Rumble entry I can remember. Sure, the camera work was wonky (thank god for edits later), but so much going on there.

• The music/initial pop is just massive (AJ's debut, Rey's shock return, Cena's return are the only comparisons).
• The fan shots actually added to it (there's this one fan just screaming like, "Thank fucking god yes" in the video)
• Edge's initial reaction just soaking in the moment, almost crying.
• Flipping the switch into go mode with the face and hitting the fucking pyro was magic
• The wrestlers in the ring selling it like death.
• Edge spearing the shit out of everyone and soaking in the moment again.

I can't stop rewatching that. I don't care if the rumors kept making it a possibility. The fact it even happened at all hit home the same way Bryan's return did.

I know a lot of people hate Brock because of his schedule and assholeish nature, but he really did make the "one guy dominates" storyline great last night. Brock has always had good character moments, but he went all out last night. Especially the two Keith Lee moments "That's a big boy!" and "Look at this motherfucker!" and then dancing Brock.

I don't see how you can't appreciate that kind of character work if you like the sports entertainment side of wrestling.

the thing that was so awesome about the Brock run was that it made so much sense. Nobody who got in there at first should have gone 1-on-1 with Brock, and then Kofi (Tom's favourite) is the one who actually puts up a fight first, and was able to hold him to a third entrance. Then Brock does eventually manage to overcome the New Rey, but he's a little off afterwards. Then a few other guys who don't stand a chance even with a winded Brock come in, before finally Keith Lee comes in to pose a challenge. Then when Lee has Brock reeling, Strowman's music hits and even I popped for Braun Strowman at this point, because it was a real "oh, shit is ON" moment. Lee and Strowman though got suckered into acting like it was a normal Rumble and Lesnar is a normal man, which was their downfall. But they had done enough damage that Lesnar was now a wounded animal, and in comes Ricochet who has beef with Brock from just this week. And obviously we know what happened from there.

The most perfect segment in Rumble history. And, not one person who get unceremoniously chucked by Brock should have done any more. We can talk about Riddle deserving more later, but of the guys chucked during the Brock stuff who got nothing, who would you want to see get more? John Morrison? MVP?!

I also wanted more of Kofi and Keith Lee and maybe Braun and Big E. It all made sense how they were handled but....yeah. All these people could've had cool moments. All these people could've made for an interesting half a rumble. My issue is not how they handled Brock killing everybody, my issue I think is that they decided to have Brock kill everybody in the first place. Even executed well (which I have already granted that it was) it's not as interesting as a regular ol' Rumble to me. Especially one with as little filler in the lineup as this one had. Heck maybe that's just a bigger problem I have with Brock- I'm tired of him just being three tiers above the entire roster. It was cool for a while but I'm tired of it now and why should I care about any of these goobers that are there every week like a buncha chumps. Much like I would've been cooler with the Brock run if it was like five people and then started filling up and having anything else going on.

That's not a problem with Brock though, it's a problem with how they present EVERYONE else. Brock is presented correctly and in the manner a big star should be. Don't be mad at him that the only person they've even tried to do that with is Reigns

yes but how can anybody be booked well when the entire roster is getting buried? Even Peak Cena they at least pretended was beatable. Here you've got a guy entering #1 still booked like an overwhelming favorite to win, and titleholders (a joke title, but still) ducking the entire rumble on the offchance they'd run into each other.

I'm not ACTUALLY asking to 50-50 book everybody, I'm asking for more than one man that WWE acts like I should care about.
