when my phone died with the steam mobile guard app on it....that seals the deal and i can't exactly recover my account because well i don't remember the first CD Key/code i used....among other questions they asked

Did you contact support directly? Or did you just try an automated recovery system? If you only tried the automated system go ahead and try actual support. There may be more they can do. Perhaps allowing you to submit pictures of your I.D. or some shit like that to prove who you are.

i don't have pictures is the problem....probably should have thought about this possibility before it happened

so really there's nothing i can really do which is why i say R.I.P. to my steam account

You don't have pictures of your government issued I.D.? Ok. You have an I.D. right? You're an adult so you should. You have a phone that takes pictures, right? In this modern age you almost certainly have a phone that can take pictures. I mean, the government gives them out for free. You pretty much have to intentionally choose to be outnofntpuch and so far out of date that you don't have a phone that can take pictures.

How do you pay for steam games? If by credit card maybe you can take a pic of it or confirm it someway.

Don't just give up though, try to talk to an actual person that works for valve

Have you tried super obvious stuff like leaving it plugged in while you use it? Replacing the battery?

yeah I've tried leaving it plugged in while i use it but it still dies instantly

even if it was alive what would i take pictures of? I Don't have a credit card that i purchased games with

most game purchases were made with steam cards....and I'm not sure how helpful taking pictures of Used Steam Card Codes would be

The Galaxy Note 3 was made before phone makers got fucking stupid, so it has a removable battery. Put a new one in.

That thing I mentioned a few times already. YourI.D. Also know as an identification card. It's that thing that your state gives you to officially identify who you are.

Or just follow Zang's advice and give up. It feels like you already have and are just finding excuses to not take the next obvious step of contacting support directly to see if there's another way to reciver the account.

Really? I had to recover from a lost Steam Guard before and Customer Service was VERY lenient with me. I just gave them all of the info I could and I got my account recovered. I just rattled off the first few games, how I purchase games on Steam, all of my old passwords, ect. It was easy.

i never bought anything with a credit card so there's nothing really attaching my name to the account....

that's the only way pulling out An ID Card or a birth certificate would work is if you had a credit card and bought games with it on the steam store

if you didn't then just having a card that says your name and whatever is this and that....doesn't really tell them anything relating to the steam account

i have very little info on hand to give them...I'm not looking for excuses to give up on my steam account

it's the truth i have zero proof the account is mine on hand right now

i really can't magic up proof i don't have if i had proof then this would never have been a problem and would have been resolved rather quickly

having no info doesn't do anyone any good

when most of my games were bought with steam cards or gifted to me....again there's nothing tying me specifically to those games directly identity wise

i doubt many people remember the first code they ever entered into steam and for me that was so long ago The Steam Store Layout Looked like A Geocites Page

I'm kinda in a similar situation with my facebook, somehow, someone was able to hack in to it, change the email, and remove my phone number. So I have no way to recover it, and Facebook literally has 0 customer support help other than trying to email them, which is apparently useless

I would say just call them and get them to work with you. I'm sure if you spend enough time proving that it is your account, they will help you

It's your account you need something to identify with. Granted I don't use steam but surely they have your personal details and you have at least something to clarify that. Even as "not a adult" you'll have something. Like already said a birth certificate is a given. If not then you're fucked and hopefully you'll learn from this mistake. Although I doubt it.

Anyone pick up where he said hes not old enough for an ID < 16 but yet put his first steam code in so long ago it looked like a geocities Page.

Ive had my steam account for quite a long time and it definitely had had a fairly modern UI since at least 2010. So that would imply OP has had his Steam account when he was like 4 or 5 years old.

He wouldve been 3 years old when he made his GameFaqs account.

He is at minimum 26 years old assuming 13 years old at account creation.

But even if he was underage, he wouldve had to be 5 years old to still be a minor when he made his account.
