Sure, there's probably thousands of people like that, but on the off chance: Was he a tall skinny stick that sometimes used safety pins to keep his zipper closed?

You half right. Tall n skinny, but normal tall, like 5'10-11. Small fro. Wore skinny jeans and button shirts, sometimes a vest. He worked the vibe and rocked the style

Not to sound racist, but, for lack of a better descriptor, he did talk "white"

the day I was born

all prejudice is learned

We're all born with a predisposition toward prejudicial behavior toward unfamiliar things. The question is what is made unfamiliar to you.

My upbringing was kind of weird in this regard. My father was very diligent about making sure that people of different races weren't seen as being "other" than myself. My mother was kind of low-key racist until she was in her 50s. I think the first time I ever gave it any thought was when I slept over at my friend Amish's house and encountered legit Indian food for the first time (I was probably 6 or 7 at the time). That was what made me realize we were different at all.

More black people wear skinny jeans than the stereotypical baggy sagging jeans.

That's not really a style anymore, but boomers still complain about it.

Racism is learned, imo. I fundamentally disagree with the people who say we're naturally racist. Kids notice differences between different races, of course, but they don't dislike other races until they're taught to by society, family, friends, etc. usually with propaganda

When I thought people were overreacting with racism. I just couldn't belive people were being serious in regards to racism.

BTW, Im Latino out of Southern CA and theres lots of diversity here. So I may be biased.

However, the disbelief in the existence of racism was only me self-projecting my values. I believe people who default to racism for everything are racist themselves because racism is always in their mind.

Never was, I grew up in a predominantly black housing project in a predominantly black neighborhood and made predominantly black friends.

I remember my parents being racist. Mexicans are pretty anti-black, at least back in the mainland. They'd say shit like how I shouldn't hang out with my black friends because they'll steal my bike, or how I'm going to get into trouble hanging out with them because they're doing things they shouldn't do. The CRAZIEST one was when they said my black friends can't come over because they eat all our food, because their parents are too lazy to cook for them. I remember thinking "Well, if someone needs help, why wouldn't we help them? That's what we're taught in church, right?"

Mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins who migrated to the states, even other Mexicans who I knew but wasn't related to, they were anti-black at some point in their lives. There's definitely a correlation between how "Pro/Conservative/Traditionally Mexican" one is and how racist they are. Westernized and American-born Mexicans (like me) are very open. If I ever heard a Mexican say some anti-black shit in 2019, it's from some guy who just got here like a year ago. It's definitely something that's going to continue being less and less of a problem as time goes by. For some reason, Mexican parents and natives are not afraid of being called out on their shitty behavior and are willing to learn, or more accurately, un-learn problematic behavior. Over time, their racism diminishes from just being around black people regularly and learning that we're not all that different.

i've always had a peculiar colorblindness and a strong preference to the company of similarly-minded individuals which transcends race or class, the indicators of which began when i was a very young child

probably a byproduct of growing up in neighborhoods and attending schools that were multicultural/multiethnic/multiracial but not divided along such lines, and having best friends of different racial backgrounds

also probably a result of how i process information; strong tendency to split hairs and look for the best in people

also i've made out with women of at least three different races

For me, it was when my brother died.

Growing up, I was heavily involved in the Neo-Nazi community. One day, a couple of African American guys attempted to steal my truck, and when I went out to confront them, I ended up killing two of them in a hateful, racially-motivated attack.

I was sentenced to three years in prison for voluntary manslaughter. In prison, I attempted to integrate with the Aryan Brotherhood, but they ultimately turned on me and assaulted me. My only solace was working my laundry job; it was there I started a friendship with an African American inmate after we bonded over a mutual love of basketball. It was this friendship that helped me see the error of my ways.

Upon my release from prison, I attempted to put my hateful past behind me, but I soon learned that my brother was going down the same path I had went down. I tried to save him, but unfortunately it was too late and he was a victim of violence related to his hateful, racist ways.

My best friend and his family when I was a child were white, but even beyond that, I was raised not to judge people based on race or skin color.

I feel bad for the people who are indoctrinated at a young age to view other races as beneath them.
