Honestly, just how bad the Red Wings are is probably one of the most undercovered stories of this season.

Consider how bad the Kings are. Second worst in the league. 19-33-5. Clearly selling like mad and are tanking and have given up on the season.

The Red Wings are 11 points behind them!

Best case scenario is it's really minor and since the Coyotes are doing a back to back, he's back tomorrow... to face the Leafs slaughter.

But jesus christ when they say "setback" it's like, did he fucking stub his toe or is this going to be another month?

Edit: okay I glazed over the use of "injury" as in, a fresh injury replacing the old one. This is just brutal.

This Addison guy looks like he gets quite a few points. Not sure how that will translate to the Minnesota sinkhole, but they don't have much after Dumba (who has slipped) and Spurgeon. Suter gets points because of crazy ice time, but a pure offensive defenseman he is not.

Injury I think. He came back this year, but went poof. My guess is when the injury happened last year, the new GM got cold feet and broke the bank to keep Spurgeon as a safety net. He and Suter have held together what is a really underwhelming defensive group over the years, despite what was normally a strength of the team...supposedly.

Brodin and Dumba were supposed to be the guys to take over. Instead, they and others keep being trade bait.

There are rumblings of another Leafs trade coming up, potentially bigger than the last one.

This is on the heels of a burner account named "Mike Litorus" being the one to break the Moore trade and mentioning that there was a players only meeting to deal with toxicity in the locker room. Word on the street is that it might be Kapanen with that toxicity so let's see if he's on his way out.

Friedman mentioned that the burner account is probably legit and most likely someone close to a player.
