Calwings 12/09/19 2:35:59 AM #106:	I am now only three episodes away from finishing Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS, and with it, the WIXOSS franchise as a whole. The developments of this season have been really intense, and now, so close to the finale, I finally get to see the two previous protagonists of the series, Ruuko and Suzuko, battle against each other. It's already been better than Lostorage Incited was, but I'm not sure it's matched the Selector seasons yet. I think I also might have a new favorite character in the franchise. It's very rare for me to think a soft-spoken quiet girl is an anime's "best girl", but Piruluk might just be one of those very rare times. Her story (I'm not going into more detail because spoilers) has been the best part of these last two seasons and her character design is great too. The term Selector from the first two seasons is what the players in the battles are called, and the battles they take part in are referred to as Selector battles. The term Lostorage isn't used in the anime, but there are some pretty valid fan theories about what exactly it refers to that I can't get into because spoilers. They also probably changed that part of the title to give it a clear distinction from the previous seasons, considering that Lostorage Incited both shifts the focus to a new main cast and changes the nature of the Selector battles themselves. As for the second word in each season's title: In Selector Infected, the very first Selector battle we see on-screen begins and infects the world with the pain it causes those involved. Selector Spread sees the battles grow, hurting more people and needing to be contained. In Lostorage Incited, the battles return and become much riskier, inciting even more bad feelings out of the participants and seemingly accelerating the cycle. Finally, Lostorage Conflated (you can google what the word conflate means, I had to as well) is where all of the main players from the past Selector battles come together and combine their power to put a stop to the battles once and for all. The final battles in the last few episodes were amazing, and unlike when the story seemingly ended on a bittersweet note in Selector Spread, they went for a definitive "hype and awesomeness" ending for the main story in Lostorage Conflated. This is one of those cases where I hope they don't revive the franchise to continue the story, because it ended perfectly. Also, I did officially declare Piruluk as best girl, as you can see from the gifs in my sig changing. My overall final ratings for the franchise: Selector Infected = 9.5/10 Selector Spread = 9/10 Lostorage Incited = 8/10 Lostorage Conflated = 9.5/10 Average (and overall score for the WIXOSS franchise) = 9/10 Next up for me is to finish Lupin The Third part 5 (now that its dub has finally finished on Toonami) and continue with Powerpuff Girls Z. Haven't decided what show I might start next, but I'm leaning towards Sabagebu because I've had it on my plan-to-watch list for literally years now. Cookie Bag posted... Its funny because anime seasons used to be 24 episodes by default in the past, even smaller SOL ones.
