She spoke at a campus event called "When Hate Comes To Campus" and used the n-word that sparked outrage int he audience leading her to get booed off the stage along with the hook She said "So if i said something offensive, you know, you can say a lot of offensive things in here because it's impossible to talk about the First Amendment without saying horrible things. Um you know, like "You're just a dumb n-word and i hate you". That alone, that's protected speech" Chaotic video surfaced that showed the shocking slur as someone comes on stage to shame her and a woman in the crowd heckle her. One woman says "Oh man, free speech, whatever, but you knwo you offend a lot of people in this room" She then returned to the mic and said "I just want to sincerely apologize. She used the sentence as an example and was immediately berated for it, whether or not she believed the sentence to be truthful.
