Yeah I have some people at 5 stars so I'm aware of the benefits. I guess I meant more of a larger picture kinda thing like am I going to get a bad ending if I don't have enough stars? Or are there some larger rewards for getting a certain number of stars on your pants?

I'm just trying to not get burned out doing all of these deliveries if I can pick and choose who to max instead.

You can always just recycle materials at a centre or something and get them when you need them. Saves taking up private locker space.

The even better answer (when applicable) is to donate them to other players' structures in spots you like that are still Lvl1 but deteriorating.

Of course that doesn't really apply to Ceramics or Resin.

I spent all last night building roads instead of advancing the plot but I'm being cockblocked by Novelist's Son because he refuses to join the network. I did a bunch of deliveries for him at once thinking that would do it as usual and got 1000 likes that didn't rank him up at all. I got totally screwed.

Also going to need to start farming chiral crystals which doesn't seem great

MULE trucks are trash. Just continue through with chapter 3 until you unlock the real deal. they literally hold like 10 times as much cargo

Yeah, Mule Trucks only hold slightly more than you can with a Lvl 3 Power Skeleton and a Reverse Trike.

Okay, I've gotten I think two about gourds so far but nothing about a hookup like others say. I might check him again once I'm in that area of the map again.

yeah there's a few where their star ranking are cap locked until you read their emails

Just pick up lost deliveries for him that you see laying around and bring those instead of standard orders

Just returned the camera to the photographer. Just for planning out my week, about how much longer would you estimate the game is if beelined through main missions only?

Oh shit I completed a road and it paved over someone's safe house they built. So RIP that. It was in a pretty good location too (it's by the auto-paver that needed a TON of materials on the west side of the map).

Maybe people shouldn't build shit where roads go.

That's odd, because I was trying to build a structure next to a road that was already built and it said "Road Construction Area". It turned yellow instead of red though so maybe it wasn't stopping me?

Yeah I think you can build stuff in road construction areas just with the warning that they might disappear later I definitely destroyed a bridge with one of the roads that I have built

i can pretty much do all the standard orders now with minimal walking

of course all the ones that make you carry like 20+ things are still hard to do without a vehicle

now that I did it, I'm not sure why I did it. I just wanted to.

death stranding is like the 'rebuild the fallen town' questline from jrpgs except the fallen town you're rebuilding is america

I'm about 12-15 hours in, still in Chapter 3. Wouldn't say I'm getting burned out necessarily but even on Hard mode it's still a little too easy right now. BT encounters aren't threatening anymore, even if you manage to run directly into one and get grabbed. Mule encounters are a complete joke with the Bola gun, especially now that you can hijack trucks. The terrain used to be a challenge but that's not really the case anymore.

I'm sure the BT encounters will start ramping up and I'll probably be fighting terrorists soon but the game is starting to get a little stale. Wondering if I should start avoiding some of the side orders and try to rush the story for a little bit.

I'm concerned because I haven't gotten a single email from the paleontologist and his emails are required to get one of the memory chips to spawn. I'm hoping it's just a matter of advancing the story more and then I'll start to get emails from him.

I'm gonna put this behind a spoiler wall just in case. ..also in case anybody just doesn't feel like engaging with negativity.

I'm torn between my honest enthusiasm for such an unfiltered passion project being made at all at such an absurd level of production...and my actual feelings on it as a game itself.

The feeling I have right now is that Andromeda is no longer the most dissapointing AAA game release I have played to completion. But also I had so much hype for this game to begin with, which NEVER faltered all the way up until I was almost halfway through the game, so expectations are probably a huge factor there.

I'm also starting to think Konami was not the one primarily responsible for how MGSV turned out....starting to feel like that's just what Kojima wants to do nowadays, presentation wise.

I love the style and the look, truly...I also hated every single second of dialogue and cutscene. The last 3 hours were a true nightmare. Amelie in particular....I think the Amelie monologue at the end, from beginning through the end of the first "credits", may rank to me personally as the worst single experience I have ever had any a video game.

A lot of people say that the walking around is boring. I am off and on on that. The real tragedy is that the CUTSCENES are boring, which simply should never have been possible with a Kojima production.
