Lived in the DC Metro area my whole life, been more of an O's fan since they were around longer, but I've also rooted for the Nats too (and have been to more Nats games anyway).

First the Caps (#1 team), now the Nats. What a crazy time for DC sports. I honestly didn't expect to ever see two championships... let alone in two years.

Now if the Skins could ever get a winning record, let alone not lose to the Seahawks in the post-season, I'd say I'm in the best timeline.

Yeah, the most recent championship for the region before the Caps won was the 1991 Redskins and I was only two years old then so I never really experienced that.

I'm much more of an O's fan still, but this win still feels pretty great. Lots of friends losing their minds

Should have said for DC sports. But yeah, you still find a lot of O's fans around here in northern Virginia since the Orioles are all we had for baseball since 1972. Ravens fans are in the area too, but to a much lesser degree since the Redskins have been omnipresent

Even though Baltimore is really close, the Skins are the team everyone roots for in DC. I very rarely encountered Ravens fans. Orioles pull more support in DC than Ravens because theyve been around a lot longer and were the DC MLB team for a while. I root for both teams equally, though Im more of a Skins fan than a Ravens fan (though I also root for the Ravens).

Its a bit weird. If the Os were to win, Id consider that a win for DC. Not the same for the Ravens.

I currently live in Annapolis and wayyyy more Ravens fans. Half my family are Ravens fans. Being here has definitely increased my support for the team.

Baby Shark is the worst thing a baseball fanbase has done since Rally Monkey.

But the Nats moved on from Harper and beat the Cardinals soooo it's all good. I kinda like the championship hats this year.

It's also kinda interesting to think about how they shut down Strasburg in 2011 or 2012 (I forget which year) and maybe ended up exchanging that title for this year's title.

Astros remind me of the Phillies from a decade ago.

Stacked team with pitching and hitting. Won early. Got better every year in the regular season while gradualy doing worse in the postseason (Losing to the eventual champs every time...I'll always remember Howard looking at the pitch the one year, then swinging so hard he snapped his ankle the next to end seasons). Ultimately underachieved and it was sad.

But they did bring the first championship to the city while I was alive and that was pretty sweet.
