It just makes no fucking sense that it happens so consistently. Logic says a good pitcher should also be a good pitcher in the playoffs.

But he literally has basically a full season of IP in the postseason to say that its not an aberration. It makes no fucking sense, but its an undeniable fact he fucking chokes in big moments in the postseason.

Not even a surprise. The DS series tend to be a bit wonky being only 5. If Houston was going to play in any elimination game, it was that one.

Only way any team is pushing them to 7 is if someone pulls a Cardinals and steals a couple of games because no one seems capable of getting the final out (hi Texas)

The problem is I don't want to be the Cardinals themselves they've done it enough already. If anything though that team feels like it could be the Nationals this year.

An error by the Brewers and shoddy decision making from the Dodgers, sure, but they feel like they could do exactly what the Caps just did, and the Caps only beat the Penguins in the first place because the Penguins gave the series away through the same mistakes the Capitals always repeated in the previous years.

Astros in 6 and the NLCS is going 7 and whoever leads early is going to lose.

And actually Red it's worse. Kershaw has pitched in ~11 innings after the 6th inning in the postseason. His 12.27 ERA in those innings is the worst of all time for an established pitcher who's pitched that many innings as such.

He had no business ever being allowed into that game. His ERA for that game was 54 I think? 2 runs on 1 out.

The Astros should win as they are the best team in baseball and better suited for the playoffs than the Yankees, but of course anything can happen. The Astros were by most accounts the best team in baseball last season too, and they obviously didn't win the WS.

I will say it in earnest one more time before I transform into troll Hulk this evening:

1. The Astros are great, but are not and have not been historically great this season like everyone wants to claim.

2. The Yankees team right now did not exist in the regular season due to injuries. With the exception of Betances missing from the bullpen, this is the team we have been waiting for all year.

3. The Yankee team as currently constituted is historically great, as was proven in the ALDS and will be proven in the next two rounds. You all are witnessing what might be literally the greatest roster ever assembled.

Now I am giving you fair warning to block me for later.
