The world is getting hotter and hotter. For the first time in history all of the Alaskan sea ice melted over the summer. Trumps response is to remove methane restrictions and start giving public land and national forests over to oil and mining companies.

And this is the stupid bullshit he actually cares about. Being called out for being wrong about which state a hurricane would hit.

Falsifying a weather report is illegal for very good reasons. Doing so because he feels that's preferable to admitting he was wrong about the storm's track reflects an extremely dangerous degree of narcissism (which doesn't surprise anyone that has been paying any attention and doesn't worship him, but something even more incontrovertible than usual is fun) that everyone should be concerned about. You're defending a president who would rather scare people and forge distrust in the US Weather Service than admit he made a mistake. You shouldn't want to do that.

The National Weather Service had to immediately issue a statement saying that Alabama was not going to see any effects of Dorian because people started panicking.

If the fucking President of the United States says, "Heads up everyone, seek shelter and run for the hills, storm's-a-coming!", you shouldn't have reason to doubt that message and, sure enough, plenty of people in Alabama took him at his word.
