Are these identical to the original Digivices? Or are they based on the anime ones from later on? Because I'm kicking myself for not having bought a few of the anime ones whereas I still own my original Digivice. (Sadly, my original Tomogatchi got stolen. In some ways, I'm still coping with the pain.)

I cant stand how they look. Ive only seen up to season 5 so for all I know thats what newer digivices look like but as far as I can see the best comparison you can make is that they sorta kinda maybe look like realizers from season 5, if you turn them sideways...

It has versions 1 through 5 all in one, which is cool because each one had different eggs/digimon, and the instruction manual is fun to look at. You can supposedly have up to 2 at once. Haven't gotten there just yet, still trying to get my rookie Augumon.

Makes it sound like an interesting value. Of the original digivices, I had only played the first one. Looking at the selection for the Digimon from the other 4 versions, I recognized that a lot of them had been Digimon Partners in the anime. (I also didn't even recognize Gazimon from his sprite.. and then the other rookie that gen is Gizamon, who I don't really remember from the franchise; if they were doing anime ones by that point, couldn't they have gone with a more recognizable character? Granted, I also first confused Kunemon for Wormmon so I guess Gizamon isn't alone.)

I know that it's *probably* too much to hope for, but I hope that if this takes off, we'll see similar remakes of other Digivices.

Also I'm assuming that these new models will be compatible with the old Digivices? I know that the original Digivice *could* interact with the season 2 Digivice. If so, maybe I'll just buy the one and if I want to battle (pretty sure it takes actual battles and not training to achieve the ultimate/perfect form), I'll use my old one.
