This feels like a pretty clear perspective slip. HB is saying Ulti will be lynched if he is a liar, to Thinking (Notice the hmm) and saying he is more likely to be scum.

I have a hard time expressing my rationale sometimes, so perhaps Ill give an example of what I would expect a town Hb to say.

Town Hb: If Ulti is lying he will be lynched. Would a lying Ulti be scum? Of course. Town Ulti would not lie about this. This is why we would lynch him

Scum Hb knows Ulti is town so the question is whether town Ulti is lying about his role. Under this perspective Hbs posts make a lot of sense. He first hypothesizes Ulti would not follow through with a bluff because he would end up suiciding as town, then he has to fabricate thinking about if this would be a scum or town action

At the very least I want to hear HB's rebbutal of this.

Note how I have sunk my teeth into Hb all day and Hb is looking very crispy right now. Others helped, we play a team game, but this day has revolved precisely on what I wanted it to revolve around and nothing more.

You are not some kind of mafia god. I realize your ego has been stroked here daily for who knows how long, and that you have some "friends" currently cowed into towing your line but that's not me. I'll note how you made a groundless case against him based entirely on evidence from a previous game. You noted how he was "playing different", as if that magically makes him scum. There is a much simpler explanation for why he's (and several other people) are playing different: Burnout. Not everyone is cut out for month long games, and as several people have noted their play has not been up to their usual standards and they might replace out. It is very likely HB is playing different because he's burnt out from last game.

He's looking like a good lynch target right now due to no effort from you. He made a slip he needs to answer for and someone not you caught it. He might be able to explain it away. With logic. You know, that thing good reasons are constructed of? Tuck your ego back in your pocket and come talk to me when you have reasons for the things you want done.

HB may or may not be scum, but either Blade is also suffering burn out (I doubt it) or this is the most passive I've ever seen him on D1. He's not digging for information AT ALL, and that's something he's usually diligent about. If he's scum then I'd much rather lynch him now before he has a chance to do any harm at all.

I mean, if Hb flips scum I don't need to pressure Blade day 1, we can just have vig if they exist shoot him or lynch him day 2 once the evidence is on the table. You only get one lynch a day and until facts are laid bare it is just a waste of time to go after someone. Bandwidth issue tbh. You only get one lynch a day, I know scum Blade very well and he never makes that move on a town Hb, therefore if Blade is scum I am always voting scum right now whereas it isn't 100% that's a scum blade bus - I just thought it looked like it.

Like, pressure only has so far a point before it just is noise for the day. I don't want to lose focus on my central scum read. As I said, Corrik has been completely dismissed and made ineffective until you are now trying to breathe life into his train because...? vague pressure? Let's play this out. What is the point of pressuring Blade? Do I want him lynched today over HB? For sure not, HB has had no good defense of himself or from others and I have had multiple angles where I see clear contrast from previous town play and tone. I feel good about that lynch. So I never want to see Blade dead over Hb today. Which is the start of the problem for pressure. Blade is a keen and savvy player, but like anyone he is capable of being brought to heel by pressure... if it has a point. Blade as either alignment knows I am too on my game to allow him to die today. I have made my target known, Blade isn't only going to be facing any real pressure because even you fire_bolt see Hb is likely to be scum at this point.

Now Blade has a lot of scum equity right now, but I found out last game that this community has severe limits when it came to how much it can absorb before they start to suck. If this game was full of me level players I would probably not object to you pressuring Blade and making him squirm, but it isn't. People have attention span issues and unless it actually has a pointed edge at the end pressuring Blade isn't needed as I have a feeling you will be around tomorrow to talk to him more if he isn't vigged. You don't seem like night 1 targeting material.

Don't put words in my mouth. I think HB made a slip that he's not shown up yet to defend. You're assuming "Passive player = scum" here and that may not be correct. As Corrik keeps trying to remind people, we REALLY like mislynching inactive players D1 here.

As for pressuring Blade, it in fact does have a point. He either gets active or he dies. Both of those are looking like really good options to me right now. Scum team going into N1 down a Blade would be pretty juicy for Town
