Last post Hb made was asking for elaboration on why I thought flavor of the source being Shin Godzilla for Ulti as Mayor and not vanilla made sense and was the only source in which I would've accepted it making sense.

Honestly I'm not even sure why he was interested in that since I thought he believed Ulti was mayor the whole time.

Maybe he realized that was one slip too many and just gave up.

My gut tells me to vote for him. I don't like how his personality changed. He went from being polite and pleasant to being very less than pleasant and it feels very strange to me.

Plum gives me town vibes. Just a feeling I get from how he's posted.

I believe Ulti. I don't like the idea of him mayor-ing day 1, but he seems very believable and genuine.

Fire Bolt confuses me. I was almost sure he was scum a while ago, his defense on his early plays felt, and still feels, very shakey. But his play since? I'm not sure anymore. My gut wants to believe he's town.

I'm not sold on Blade. From what I've gathered tho, he's not terribly out of character. At the same time, I still think he's suspicious.

I'm also not feeling HB. His play had been, something. However, there is also the possibility that you could be bussing him to look better. I haven't much if at all with you, so I can't say if that's in character or not, but it's a possibility.

At the same time, I highly doubt that I've hit the nail here. I very much doubt all of Blade, You, and HB are all scum. My gut tells me you're the guy, so that's where I'm voting.

Blade is starting to look like a good lynch (note that soon after Corrik commented on how town Blade "just meows and doesn't care", Blade's next appearance was shitposting...given his reference to being on the toilet, perhaps literally) but I'd prefer HB at this point, the arguments against him are legit and there hasn't been any defense of how his thought process adds up as town. His disappearing act from relevance as pressure mounted on him doesn't help his case either.

Chris, I know you backed off a bit later on your certainty about Blade as scum, but I want to ask what your thought process was here

Secondly I am never being lynched on gut so why don't you just replace out and maybe someone else can take a crack at this whole mafia thing? I was referring to having Ulti mayor the lynch. Which, If I remember correctly, you were down with doing. I don't think a no lynch with a town confirmed Ulti is even remotely worth.

So anyway I look at Popcorn Fairy's post at 368 and I see a few key points

Now, this is a very smart post for scum to make, particularly if Hb is scum, in terms of 4d chess. Here are the things it allows:

In a head to head it allows you to jump off onto Blade by default. Chris is strongly tied to the Hb lynch, so it's very easy to lateral off that and say "well I think Chris is scum so I'm going to vote for Blade"
In a head to head where Hb is way in front, you can jump off onto Hb to make yourself look better later.
You can also just stay on Chris if bussing feels too blatant and say "well I suspected Hb"

But yeah basically it allows too much movement on the existing lynch trains without actually committing to one. Unfortunately it's too good so someone with honed senses like myself will realize how scummy it is.

On the other points: Plum is the one person who had shown suspicion of Popcorn Fairy-- so it's a weak attempt to butter him up. Ulti is largely thought to be town and is a potentially confirmable role, so this is the illusion of insight on alignments that doesn't actually clear up. Firebolt I think is mostly just for internal consistency since someone will point out "hey what happened to your minor Firebolt push earlier"

But yeah it's just such a scummy post. I don't believe town makes that post at any point.

Plenty of reason to be distrustful of Chris right now btw. He knows the value of seeing where people stand but basically flipped a lid at a single opposing lynch.

If everyone agrees and we just lynch hb where are we at tomorrow?

Hbs alignment doesn't even matter to that point. Especially if you are chris where you know there is no guarantee of tomorrow if hes town. What is his goal of leaving us in that case? Literally just an hb lynch.
