Also, for lack of a better way to put it, there's plenty of space in between JDTAY and perfect mental wellness where one can have one or more mental health issues and not be, well, him. Years of struggle and constant failure led me to try anything. I don't check it regularly but it's there and the amount of money I have 'saved' ($2343.18) is actually more impressive to me than the days. It's easier to admit to myself I will drink again, just not today... then to try and cement the idea that I'm sober forever. It's difficult to get a diagnosis and they don't really do much for you as an adult though, because I guess they figure if you've made it this far you've figured out coping mechanisms so you can function. Being aware of it does help me handle it though, better understanding what I have trouble with and what I need to do to keep it from causing me problems. --- SuperNiceDog didn't have to reconcile his name...
