It's kinda like the Lego Movie but instead of everything being awesome. Everything is offensive, everything. They're even offended on behalf of poc, when poc are not even offended. Snowflake generation. I heard they showed Blazing Saddles at a Marxist Indoctrination center erm I mean College and a few snow flakes couldn't handle it and had to be calmed down and taken out on a stretcher to the nurse.

Here's a secret - when you don't spend most of your time being a trolly cocknozzle, they tend to not mod you.

I don't think I've gotten anything more than a 3kl for more than a decade. And maybe only one mod a month in general. Usually for posts I absolutely knew were going to get modded even before I posted them. It's not that hard to avoid getting modded if you actually, you know, act like an adult.

Maybe, just maybe, if you're constantly getting hammered by mods, you might want to take a good, long look in a mirror and ask yourself what you're doing wrong.

It's hard, to sympathize with the usual "WAAH, MODS ARE MEAN!" complaints when most of the people complaining are always bringing up "Fair, next" type situations. And when most of the people complaining are some of the worst posters on the board.

It was the opposite age actually. I implied someone couldnt remember their passwords because of their old age. Again, Im assuming this means Im correct about his age since hes never said it.

Kinda like how we inadvertently got the mods to agree with us that someones actual job at his age is so bad it actually is insulting.

Usually it's a specific mod out to get you. There are plenty of times when I've been hit by a suspension when they no-actioned several people in the topic who did similar in the topic, including a guy who did something that they literally -- and inaptly -- accused me of doing.

The real issue is once you have a suspension, pretty much every moderation turns into a suspension. Back under the old system, there was build-up to a suspension. Now you can get suspended off your first offense even on something that would have been a NKL under the previous system. Granted, my all-time favorite suspension is for, and this is roughly paraphrasing the mod's remark, "making [a group] sound evil."

I've only had one suspension in the years I've been active here. And that one was fairly predictable looking back on it.

Under the last system, I'm not sure I got modded once where it wasn't overturned afterward. The system before that I would sometimes get modded, but 3/4s of the time I could see the rationale so it didn't annoy me as much. Granted, the new system doesn't even have mod comments for suspensions so there's no way of knowing what you supposedly did, let alone having an opportunity to appeal it.

Except it is, considering that I got suspended for quoting somebody who had no action taken against them... and then the mod in question randomly did something to reference the moderation.

Meaning that I have people who pore through old topics to mark me? That *also* happens. After the last system went into place, I had people marking posts from several weeks before the change that now violated the new rules--- all of which got overturned once I pointed out the dates, but no action was taken against this malicious person. I'm sure that almost everything I post gets marked by somebody, including by the mod in question.
