I dunno, I've always been put off by shorts. Three minutes just doesn't feel like enough time to do much unless it's with established characters who I already care about (like the BanG Dream Garupa Pico shorts which were great).

Then again I guess all three seasons would take less than two hours to watch so maybe I'll get around to it someday.

S2 and S3 are 12 minute episodes rather than 3 minute episodes.

I've only seen three episodes of Oreimo and SNAFU and they didn't grab me. I didn't hate them though, I'll get back to them someday. Haganai I finished S1. I liked the lusty nerd and the two little girls but the main trio were kinda meh. I will also get back to it someday.

Hyouka was just too mundane for me and I hated a few of the arcs (the movie mystery resolution and the Valentine's episode in particular).

School-Live was a top-notch cute girls anime except it had an additional layer that made the fun they were managing to have feel so much more meaningful. Yuki Takeya is a top 10 anime character imho

Hyouka looks very pretty, but thats about all it has going for it. Most of the content is boring and only one of the main characters is really ok. I didnt given it a score that low, but its nice to see somebody else who didnt like it much

Thoughts on the week.

Ensemble Stars started out pretty promising for a male idol show. It's animated well and honestly the songs are very good. However, none of the characters are really doing anything. I get there's like a idol battle going on and different groups in the school are giving their best performances but three episodes in and it's barely been explained what's really going on, rules, etc. Not only that but we have not really seen people preparing or anything like that either. Not to mention the girl who was introduced early on as the "producer" or whatever has done absolutely nothing. Like why even have her in the show? Only one of the other characters starts to get any development too, and it's done in like a talking scene where the character is not even present.

The other show that was dropped this week was Bem, which is honestly probably not awful, but the entire thing was just so uninteresting. There is basically one small scene that shows the main girls personality. All the other character? Nothing. Like the supernatural things fighting? We have no real context in what's happening etc.

As for the good shows, DanMachi S2 had another great episode. They seem to add just the right amount of new story beats and are really driving up the stakes of the season. Takagi is likely to remain on top of the rankings for the entire season if it just maintains where it is. I thought Demon Girl's second episode was not as good as the first one, but it was strong enough to remain in the first tier.

Astra is doing a good job at juggling all the characters it has. I can forgive some of the more unrealistic things that are happening because the tradeoff is better character moments. Overall I think the cast might end up being pretty strong, albeit maybe a little too perfectly suited for their situation.

I like Dr. Stone, but I do find that Taiju is a little too dumb. Accelerator is still good, but it still can't escape the "let's make another group that works in Academy City but doesn't know who the fuck the level 5s are who can just destroy them without thinking".

Magical Sempai is probably not a good show? But I still like it. I think Senpai is really fun to watch and is really only hurt right now by the fact that this season is very strong for waifus. Dumbbells is pretty good, but I've found that the comedy is not quite there right now.

Given still seems like a good show, but the like overall timing is just like kinda off still. Maidens is a show that is almost good but is being held back by the almost conflicting tones the show has. It's like the show really wants you to take it seriously, but it's just so hard to do that with how almost everyone acts. Honestly, the childhood friend is probably the most realistic character in the show. As for the main girls I'd say Hongou is the best one, because from a personality standpoint she maintains a personality but doesn't come off as overbearing for the sake of pushing anime drama.

Re:Stage is also a show I want to like more, and even though I liked the episode... WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH IDOLS?

Wasteful Day is still not that funny... but it's getting better. Also, this show probably has the OP of the year. That's slightly better than Are You Lost? Which is at the bottom due to being kind funny... but also a little too gross overall.

try watching some of these. I have not checked what you have scored things, I only checked if they were on your list. These are in airing order from earliest to latest. Starting in 2011. How I feel about these shows vary and I only tried to include somewhat cute comedies here. All shows here I gave at least a 7. However, just by double-checking your list to make sure you didn't see it has made me realize our tastes are very different and it probably would be better for me to post shows I gave like a 2 or 3 instead. So I expect you to not like all of these.

Milky Holmes (first season is kind of eh, but the second season is amazing. Don't watch past that... TD is actually fine).
Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! (Has incest plot, but it's still very cute).
Acchi Kocchi (surprised you have not seen this one).
Humanity has Declined (This show is cute AND weird)
Joshiraku (Probably overall more comedy than moe styled cute, but I think it's worth a mention)
Muromi on the Shore (Cute mermaid comedy.)
Fate Prisma Illya (This show has 4 seasons varying in tone and quality. Season two is the one that's the most cute focused.)

Hanayamata (A show about cute girls trying their best to dance in a parade)
Majimoji Rurumo (A show about a cute witch who is trying her best)
Jitsu wa Watashi wa (I think this is a show that is not really aggressively cute, but just has some sort of natural charm.)

Bakuon!! (Cute girls on motorcycles!)
Netoge (Cute girls play videogames)
Renai Boukun (Anime where a cute lead girl has a Kiss Note... which is like the death note only the first word is different)

Tenshi no 3P! (Show about lolis who make a band. FBI alert)
Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san (Surprised you have not seen waifu show from last season)

Zombieland Saga S2 just got announced. Glad to see it had the popularity to come back, I thought parts of the first season were a lot of fun and hopefully it becomes a bit more consistent, and gets a budgetary upgrade.

I finished GJ Club and I thought it was fine. Absolutely nothing special, though. I like Mao quite a bit but the rest of the characters didn't have quirks or jokes that stood out as much, they were just there a lot of the time. Plus whoever made this had a weird hair combing fetish, the main dude combed his way through every girl in the cast before the end and it was mostly just the same 'joke' over and over.

I finished Actually, I Am (aka Jitsu wa Watashi wa). It was pretty good, I liked Aizawa a lot and the rest of the characters were fun too. Shiho was the only weak link imho. Sadly, the last few episodes got kind of stupid and it had too much of a non-ending for my tastes, but I still enjoyed it well enough.
