My review of episode 3

Readed Tomo Is A Girl. I quite liked it most of the way through. It's a romantic comedy, but the focus is mostly on the comedy most of the time. It's genuinely funny practically all the way through, which is pretty impressive. The romance stuff is mostly good too. They give it to you once you've come to care about the characters, and it feels nice.

Until the final arc in the last 20-50 chapters (note that 1 chapter = 1 page so this isn't that long) which is just really bad. It's stupid drama without much comedy that makes no sense. What's up with shounen romcoms having bad final arcs anyway?

Also read Is My Hobby Weird which was consistently awesome and hilarious, though I guess it's probably hentai. MC being a lesbian who's obsessed with looking at other girls' butts is a great premise.

Beastars finally officially releasing. Volume 1 came in today, have the next 4 preordered. They're releasing fairly rapidly, probably trying to capitalize on the Netflix release in...a year?

Oh yea I got my Beastars Volume 1 on Tuesday while I was in NYC, also got the remaining HeroAca volumes I needed.

I'm kind of shocked how large the Beastars volume is, it's definitely bigger than normal English manga even. But it's kind of cool. And hey it matches Legosi, ha.

208 pages is pretty beastly. Figures it might just be because of the big chapter 1, but volume 2 is listed with the same. Can't actually see it myself until I get home tomorrow.

They do good work. I'm hoping the official translation can match up, considering the whole series is designed for every page's dialogue to look like some fake 4chan edit.

1 is basically just a neat remake of the beginning with lots of easter egg stuff that sows some seeds of change.

2 is rad as hell and real wild.

3 is so bad it made me cast out Eva as a franchise for years and retroactively made me like the whole thing less, though I've kind of gotten over it.

In the "one-of-a-kind samurai-general-reincarnated-as-a-canine comedy," Nobunaga perishes at Honnji as in history, and reincarnates in modern-day Japan as a dog named Cinnamon. Other Warring States era warlords such as Takeda Shingen eventually join him, also as dogs.

I didnt feel Dr Stones style come through that Zoro chapter at all. It was a well done redrawing of the chapter but it definitely just felt like One Piece
