I don't gain anything, health wise. I also have to spend money to acquire both. They also don't benefit my health (a little red wine is good), and provide temporary highs. Seretonin > dopamine.

Alcohol also tastes like crap generally.

That is expensive. And I have never been able to get drunk. I didn't try drinking until my 30s and now I guess my body weight allows me to drink more. So I have to guzzle it down fast to even get a buzz before it wears off. And I just gave up on it. Every once in a while I have one drink just to slightly relax . But I will probably never feel drunk in my life

My old job sent me to San Diego for my 30th birthday and I tried me alcoholic drinks for the first time. I thought the alcohol aftertaste was gross.

That's very odd. I had a similar feeling when I first tried to get drunk and actually thought people were faking it. The next night at a party I got drunk and it was great. Now only ok occasion as it takes me a bit more than a day for the hangover to clear.

I have medication I take every single day twice a day for kidney problems and since I was 8 I was advised to never touch that stuff since it will affect the dosages.

This. Alcohol is only ever fun for me when in the company of friends, and even then, I feel like crap afterwards. The hang over is never worth it.

Herb, on the other hand, I highly enjoy. But I'm job hunting right now and haven't had any in 3+ months. Looking forward to when I can do it again though.

I'm not saying it's impossible for me to get drunk, it's just not worth it. I start feeling nauseous because there's so much beer in me before I'm anywhere close to drunk. And I never got any positive effects, always just got a little fuzzy.

Even CAs get drunk, except the euphoria is gone and it's more "feeling" sober to blackout. They dont get that teenage girl in between phase where you laugh at stuff and fall over after 6 drinks

No ones tolerance is too high to get drunk that's literally not a thing. Let me see you chug 375ml of gut rot bottom shelf vodka on an empty stomach and film yourself for 1 hour afterwards and tell me your tolerance is just too high

Okay well that's the problem you're still on training wheels. Any alcoholic knows beer is just used to keep whatever you BAC is on par it cant be used to actually drink with

I've drank a few beers, one night I played beer pong and got so drunk I had to sleep in at the friend's house it was held in.

But other than that I hardly drink. I've never done drugs but I smoked weed before. Decided I didn't like how it felt to be high so I never did it again.
