Yep.

Born in Illinois (northern suburbs of Chicago) and lived there till I was 2, lived in California about 4 years, moved back to Illinois and lived there 3 more years, then lived in Florida ever since October 1985.

I'm a Navy brat - Dad was in the Navy, so we had to move every so often.

Born in Memphis, TN.

Lived in: Alaska, Washington, California, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Virginia, Ohio, Texas. I think that's it. Dunno if Iraq counts since I lived in a tent there longer than I lived in Connecticut.

EDIT: Also, I met a dude out here on the railroad said that the furthest he's been from home is taking trains east or west to their destination, which blew my fucking mind, since it's not like we take them that far.

You're probably the first person ive heard say they will retire and move north. Usually its the other way around. He'll there is a whole town around here full of retired yankees.

I know its more for weather reasons than anything though. Old people have a tendency of not liking the cold so much.
