I was thinking it would be pretty cool if they actually gave you a Masamune that was only usable inside record dungeons. (Basically give Warrior of Light an attack bonus and a better soul break for the record dungeons). Oh well.

Beat Midgardsormr in 22ish seconds. Can beat him anywhere between 20-26 seconds, mainly thanks to Bartzs awakening. I dont have the Zack chain + murderous Cloud, but Bartz awakening plus USB2/AOSB Cloud has been a nice pairing. Just need to time Rosas USB so that it blocks at least one of the savage abyssal maws. With Bartz awakening, I feel I should be able to beat Ixion relatively easily too. Unsure how hed be against Tiamat, since Id get the spellblade boost, but not the element one

Man 6* magicite look dreadful with that new gimmick that if a character doesn't have infusion of their weakness they cap at 20 damage. Dena probably wanted to shut down "jacks of all trades" like Bartz, Terra and summoners. Might have to reconsider the fest banners for infusion.

Also don't forget maintenance is tonight. Looks like we got a big day tomorrow with the realm banner refresh, new abilities, FF2 torment and dark magicite!

I'll wait to see how 6* magicites actually turn out before forming an opinion.

I hope I can beat Ark on release (or a day later with Holyja). Deathgaze would be nice, but what I really want is a magicite that allows me to increase my dark damage without crippling my healing.

Holyja should be out at event time tomorrow so you can wait for it and still have a day 1 clear.

I don't really know what to expect from Deathgaze, my tools are decent but not amazing. WoL CSB/USB/AOSB, TG Cid USB/OSB, P Cecil BUSB, Beatrix BSB1/BSB2 (en-holy and imperil). Everyone says Ark is weak so I'm expecting Arc + Rem USBs with WOL CSB to be enough.

But the one I'm really looking forward to is finally getting the darkness abilities so I can take down the holy magicite.

Beat Ark day one! This boss feels like Belias but worse, and while his savage mode makes him take a lot of damage even from BSB commands and entry without a chain (IE Rem's USB entry caps on him) that 1.7 million HP really is a slog (also when he uses Savage Doomsday it heals him for 99999!) everyone was reduced to using BSB commands. And you really need to keep a last stand ready for savage doomsday.

Do you guys really think these realm draws are worth it, compared to saving for next fest? I'm tempted to pull as always, but banners that are half 6* with 3-4 awakenings each seem like a much better value even at 3 times the price.

With Terra's awakening I finally managed my first torment sub-30. Took a few tries and in the end she had to come through with a clutch triplecast to get the win... we were down to just her and Locke and I don't know if we would have survived long enough for Locke to get off his last attack.

Sub30 the first two Phrekyos even with a poverty team of Firion, Minwu, Leon, Hilda and Elara. Despite having 3 white mages the issue wasn't healing (except for the cap breaking starfall) just keeping Phrekyos unhasted and overwriting his buff with Jitterbug.

My offense really sucked, Leon doesn't even have any soul breaks! Just his dualcast LMR! Sadly that was better than anything else I had.

Also thank you intern-kun for putting in Firion's Knight sphere (or was it intentional that Firion can't use Knight skills till he gets his dive? I dunno)

Took down Lakshmi, but it was a pain. I don't really feel like doing it more but I also want to get my three kills out of the way now before I forget the sequence, so I guess that's what I'll do.

Got my four Arks, Holyja made beating him a lot more consistent since it builds more meter so Rem can use her USB entry more frequently, I can kill him before he does his second savage doomsday in third phase now!

Gonna level these puppies up and inherit them before I take on Lakshmi.

I got my four Lakshmis, clear was pretty consistent 36-37s once I learned the fight.

I attempted Ark but his damage output was higher than I was expecting so I switched to Madeen. The problem there is I have zero ways to break savage mode, so I think tomorrow maybe I'll go back to trying the dark magicite instead, maybe Deathgaze first. Maybe I should just go ahead and break Ark's savage mode, I'm not sure how much that will hurt my own DPS.

Ark hits really hard with doomsday, eternal darkness and savage dark cannon but the rest of his attacks are really weak that regenra lols over it. Well as long as he doesn't stack too many enDarks at least.

I did have to HP crystal water everyone to stay alive through the doomsdays so he wouldn't take the last stand before savage doomsday.

Also you don't need to break savage mode on Madeen. It's just a16% damage reduction and it slows her down. It's easier to deal with her in savage mode IMO and she regains it on remaining HP so it's not really worth breaking if she's going to get it back so quickly anyway.

64% on D??? II torment. I might have gotten to 70% if I'd equipped Maria's BSB, she ran out of hones well before the end of the fight and had a few rounds of just attacking. The status effects (especially the paralyze on 1&5) really killed my momentum... anyway, good enough for now on that fight.

went after Famfrit just now. took a few attempts to figure out what i was doing. Kain/Bartz/Elarra were the constants, and at first i tried Lightning and Ignis but died without protect. then i switched Ignis for Tyro and Bartz wasn't doing enough damage. then i took out Lightning to put Ignis back in. easy win but it was over 30s even with great dualcast luck, so i kept tinkering.

in the end i went back to essentially my first party except with Celes instead of Lightning because she can shellga and i realized i needed dispel. was just barely able to get a sub-30 though that was with some gauge mismanagement so i couldn't get off Kain's AOSB. also Celes had a turn after running out of abilities so it's still not exactly ideal. i suppose if i can fix my meter situation to get off Kain's AOSB, the fight will end before that wasted Celes turn, which would probably be the best way to go about it.

I pulled on the 15-mythril banner for II. Got a dupe w-Samurai LMR for Firion and w-White LMR for Minwu.

Disappointing, but considering how bad Minwu's LM2 is, his w-cast has some value, at least. I do have him spamming Holyja in my current torment setup.

I don't know how you're supposed to survive against Deathgaze. He does so many morbid countdowns on slot 1 and 5, I'm losing them in phase 2 turn 6 which is only about 23 seconds into the fight. That's after exiting phase 1 on turn 8 (so before the Death Cutter -30s doom thing). Are you suppose to just sacrifice two characters or do I need to go faster?

You can use Afflication Break to hopefully make a few of his countdown reductions miss. Or you have to be faster.

Huh, that was weird. I had Ramza use Affliction Break on turn 1 (with his instant cast / full ATB LMR) and it made the initial doom miss EVERYONE. All the counter reducing stuff in phases 1 & 2 did nothing because we weren't doomed to begin with. Of course we still got crushed in phase 3 but this seems like it has potential. I assume all of them missing was super flukey, but you could probably reload until at least 1&5 miss to give yourself a lot more time.

Pulled on Tactics hoping to get something that would help (Ramza CSB or USB2, Marche USB, Agrias USB) but instead I got Alma's USB and my 4th copy of Ovelia's USB.

Also did the IV pull a couple days ago and got Cecil BSB2. I need to stop on these and save my mythril. Don't think I have the stuff for Deathgaze right now. It seems like it's almost designed to need an AASB since my damage is garbage if I can't constantly break savage mode.

God it's fucking frustrating seeing people get Awakenings, chains, AOSBs and recent USBs from these yet I get stuff like gen1 BSBs or crap for Ursula.
