Isn't it against twitch rules to drink on stream?

Their guidelines say dangerous or illegal consumption of alcohol is prohibited, which is probably why he's taking it easy. On the other hand, playing pirated games is prohibited. I would assume that applies to emulated games.

How can he blame patreons? He's shown that he will outright ignore games they vote on or suggest if he doesn't feel like playing them. Also his whining and being down because he didn't get many tips. I wonder if he considers that even his paypigs are tight money-wise this time of year... usually family, yourself, friends come before streamers during Christmas.

He seemed legitimately depressed that donations were low. Top tip of $20? He's been getting that (or more) on most of his regular streams lately. I was watching Tevin's stream, and I'm pretty sure Tevin made at least twice as much as he did.

Blaming the Patrons is just stupid. If Phil feels they keep picking bad games, then maybe it's time to figure out a new way to pick games. Not that Phil is going to enjoy anything he plays.

I also get annoyed when he whines about money he's making during streams. He's actually a pretty successful streamer all things considered. Most people languish with single or low double digit viewers and don't really make anything at all. I know a few streamers like that who are very nice people and would kill to be in Phil's position. That marathon was a disaster, and, for once, Phil seemed to understand that. I know he was mostly feeling bad about the lack of donations and started blaming the Patrons for the selection of games, but there were still a couple moments when he appeared to understand that the failure of the marathon was his fault. It wasn't just the fans complaining--he had failed to provide them with entertainment. I think if this rarely seen self aware side of Phil showed up more often, he might actually be able to improve. But I'm sure it was just an anomalous blip and he'll go right back to his "I did nothing wrong" credo.

He games for a living, so you would think he would at least be above-average when it comes to gaming, but he ends up rage quitting a Spiderman game. lol

See, this is why I am 100% convinced that Phil has some kind of cognitive disability.

Even if you do something you dislike, if you just do it long enough, you become profficient and eventually good/fast at it.

If you play games for a bit, and try a completely new game, you can already guess some controls. Simple example, but if you play on PC with KB+M, most key have jump defaulted as the spacebar. So naturally, most people will try that first when figuring out how to jump.

Not Phil, he will try random keys in a random order and then complain that the game is stoopid and will look to his chat for awnsers.

It's why he struggles with every single soulsborne game, even though the controls are almost completely identical.

He doesn't seem to retain information. The tutorial will explain something to him, and he'll be forgetting that in the next 5 minutes.

I think the Bob Ross stuff could work if he picked a person he could actually imitate and knew something about. Dress up as a wrestler or a video game character. His Bob Ross is basically a passive-aggressive whiner who speaks in a quiet voice and hates Street Fighter V.

He's so afraid of being seen as a clown he'd never let himself get into the role enough to make it work. Phil can actually be pretty funny sometimes but he acts like he's afraid of being seen as funny. He's a mature adult after all. :^)

The folks at kiwifarm are speculating that the reason dave moved his Christmas begathon to the 26th is so that more viewers would be present and loaded with money. 2 of his totally not fundraiser Christmas stream were already a flop so it kinda make sense that dave would really want to maximize his profit in this last one.

I'm sure his post-Christmas begging stream will be more successful than his last couple marathons. He'll tell a sob story about how difficult it was to enjoy the holidays while worrying about his financial situation. He'll strongly imply that this could be his and Kat's last Christmas in the house, and what a tragedy that is--she just moved in, dood! And his loyal fans will eat it up and start dumping money on him. I really believe that some of his fans have been waiting for this and are going to drop some big donations.
