I know he's a big fan of the WWE, but I never hear him talk about it. I want to hear his opinions because I want to see if he's as dumb with Pro Wrestling as he is with video games. I don't know a lot about video games so I don't really get a lot of the fun of poking fun of him at that, but I do get pro wrestling

He doesn't seem to have strong opinions on wrestling. You'd think he would want to talk about it, but whenever someone asks him a wrestling related question on stream, he doesn't give much of an answer. Of course, that might just be part of the "interactivity" of his streams.

To be fair, people on this very website shit all over WWE every week and continue coming back. Reviewing wrestling was honestly the area Phil was best at and something I look forward to every week years ago

Whenever him and John would talk about it, all they would do is shit over WWE. That's it. Yet, Phil continues to watch every single week. At least during the wrestling sims he seem passionate and happy to do.

I was going to say that's no different than a lot of WWE fans, but someone beat me to it. I know that's the way I was the last few years I watched WWE. I'd watch it out of habit, even though I thought it was garbage, all the while hoping in vain that it would get better.

But yeah, the wrestling sims is one of the few things he still seems passionate about, I guess because he doesn't actually have to play. You can tell from the way he reacts to the near-falls that he's actually into it and enjoying himself.

Like a lot of people, I grew up watching WWE/WWF, so it wasn't something I wanted to give up on. I took a break from it from 2007-2011, came back for a few years, and then gave up again in 2014 and haven't watched since. I occasionally check the results of PPVs, but I just can't watch--if I need a reminder of why I quit watching, all I have to do is turn on RAW for five minutes. And it's a shame because they have a lot of great talent but seem content to put on the laziest, most mediocre show possible.

Ironically even with the most talented roster they ever assembled they can't do shit. WWE are at their best when they weren't comfortable, and the monopoly wasn't there. The attitude era was popular off the strength of the characters more than the actual wrestling matches.

Indy wrestling is stronger than its ever been, so they have something breathing down their necks, and now are trying to snatch wrestlers up just for the hell of it...That's a problem.

It would honestly be just as bad as his regular streams.

His commentary usually consists of: "Did you see that thing?" "That thing just totally happened dude." "I can't believe that thing just happened."

5 minutes later after complete radio silence:

"Hey, do you remember that thing that happened?"

I have no doubt that Phil would enjoy it more, since it would be a much needed break away from his usual departure. But the man has not a single creative bone in his body, evidenced by the MineCraft streams. And so, the same goes for his commentary.

Having real competition forced them to try. They had to provide you with a reason to watch them or else you might flip over to WCW. Now, there is no alternative, at least not one readily accessible to the average wrestling fan, so WWE doesn't have to try. They really should try because ratings are tanking, but they seem okay with steadily losing viewers due to poor content and not caring about what their viewers want to see. Kind of reminds me of someone...

Exactly. If someone is continuously given big money in exchange for putting out an obviously poor product, then there's no reason for them to improve (short of artistic integrity, which neither Phil nor the WWE have). Both Phil and the WWE need to be told to improve or their funding will be cut off--they need to be put in a position where they are desperate to put out quality content. And while in the short term that would be difficult and force them to work harder and make major changes, in the long term it would benefit them by improving their content, thereby drawing in new viewers and potential revenue.

To compensate they have over saturated their product.

Monday - 3 hour raw plus possible network special
Tuesday 2 hour smackdown plus network special
Wednesday - nxt uk, nxt, and 205 live
Thursday and Friday open
Saturday and Sunday - nxt ppv and wwe ppv both 3 hours monthly, and bi monthly.

Who the hell has time to watch all that unless wrestling journalism is your job? Consider this shit before dsp tells you he has no free time as he alludes to still watching religiously. granted, i bet he skips some of this shit if he has any sense left.

Every other streamer I watch (mostly small-mid size streamers) just play and hang out and are always thankful for subs/tips they get without ever asking for them. Finances are never mentioned.
