However, due to me miscounting trophies and stickers earlier, our total increase is smaller than expected. Still, we're now at 120 characters!

You can also add commander video to the trophies section and Felix, Soma Cruz, and Tharja to the spirits section.

Are there theee more characters already in? Even if there are no others, it's not an awful guess to think three of the next four characters to be announced in the fighter pass have been in a GameFAQs match before.

Professor Layton is not a Nintendo character, he is created and owned by Level-5. Nintendo just handled international publishing. Hes definitely not in this game.

ehhhhhhh there's a handful of 3rd party spirits that don't have any other representation so Layton would be no weirder than Shovel Knight and Shantae spirits

I couldn't believe Giygas hasn't had a trophy, sticker or anything. Looked it up, and it's true, only mentioned in trophy descriptions of Ness. That's a darn shame.

Toad was once in the "STAGE/CHARACTER/MODE-SPECIFIC CHARACTERS" category, but I switched him when I saw he had a costume. It could go either way.

Giygas surprised me too, as did Missingno -- thought it was in Poke Floats. Still though, now that you pointed out Giygas has been referenced in text, I'll make a new category for that.

I tried to order the categoriea by how playable they each were and then moved each character up as high as they could go, but upon putting it into practice that organization doesn't feel wholy possible.

So Akuma is in? Then that puts us at 128 characters!!! Somebody else should make a bracket now (or wait for two more characters if you don't want to count Doc and Heihachi).

Mii Fighter costume is ranked above Assist Trophies? It seems weird to put Knuckles in Mii Fighter because of a costume when the real deal is an Assist Trophy.

Real deal's also not playable which was how I was originally ranking these. If we're going by how much they are actually themselves though, you got a point and costumes will go toward the bottom of the categories.
