I'm in a shitty situation right now, steam won't allow me to gift to another region with price difference and probably I can't receive gifts as well. Trying other solutions now but does anyone have any ideas.

Okay, so from what I just researched, if the price difference between regions is more than 10%, then you cannot gift that game, no exceptions.

A potential workaround is to reputable check sites that sell Steam keys, such as Humble, Fanatical, and GreenmMangGaming. I'm sure that there are plenty more. The more obscure/indie a game is, the less likely that those sites will carry keys for those games, but from the wishlists that I saw, most of us have bloated wishlists. You're bound to find some games.

If you did draw someone with a large wishlist, I am sure that there are some games that would not violate the price difference rule, but I also don't know what region you personally fall under.

But this will reduce the number of games sent overall by a bit.

If push comes to shove handsomeboy, you can PM me who your person is, what games you planned on giving them, I buy and send them, then you pay me back via PayPal or a comparable service. Actually, it would probably be a lot easier if you were to buy a digital gift card (or however many to cover the cost of your game(s)) through Steam and send it to me to buy the games. You could even just give the gift card to your person, but where's the fun in that?

Had a blast with the first few levels of Cuphead today; taking out the first run&gun and the root-pack with my brother while he was here for some christmas festivities, and the slime and constellation lady solo (he's not that hot on hard/frustrating games, but I kinda eat them up.)

The frogs that transform into a slot machine keep getting me though.

finished chapter 2 today, 96 deaths.

thought it was kind of easier than the first chapter outside of that one room near the end, although I admit I'm not really planning on playing for completion in terms of collectables or alternate versions of levels since the level of skill/input required probably going to be past me at this point. (I pretty much had to give up trying to beat adventure island without cheating/save states earlier in the year for example, and I never got around to finishing super meat boy)

I totally forgot about this, but I'm hoping that your Secret Santa is among the four or so who admitted that they already purchased the game(s) but had them scheduled for Christmas Eve or Day. That would mean that the price difference wasn't an issue with what they purchased.

You were one of the first people to friend me in this topic, and I took a look at your wishlist long before you were chosen to be my giftee. At that time, when I saw Slay the Spire in your list, I hoped that you would get it because that game is going out of early access in January and I heard it's gonna get a price increase so now was the best time to get it. I got it last summer and had a blast with it, and I'm thinking of playing it again once it's out of early access because the devs have added a lot more stuff since then.

Mount and Blade was my "surprise" gift, since it wasn't on your list, but I noticed your taste in games was very close to another friend of mine, and that person loves M&B so I thought it might be suitable. For what it's worth, M&B was my first Steam game (and the reason I got Steam in the first place).

Slay the spire out of early access soon huh

Swirldude sent me the new expansion for Endless Legend: Inferno, and WILL: A Wonderful World. Or at least, I'll have them once Steam decides to put them in my library. It's being a little slow right now lol. Thanks, Swirldude!

Endless Legend is a 4X game similar to Civilization, but its a fantasy world with fantasy cultures/units/etc. I had a lot of fun with the base game, and I'd been wanting to play it again, so now I will with the expansion!

WILL: A Wonderful World was a visual novel with significantly more gameplay element than usual visual novels. It caught my interest when it first released on Steam, but I've never really seen anyone talk about it. In this game, you play as a god who receives letters from people living in a city and you can change their fates by rewritting/reorganizing the sentences in their letters.

I have a few more days of work/family obligations before I can play, but I promise I'll play both of these before January!

Most of the gameplay VNs I played were Eushully who has an eroge attached to an RPG, so it's bad story with maybe fun gameplay, but this one sounds interesting.
