Preferably neither, but if I had to choose, OH.

Michigan's one of the few states i definitely never want to live in. Horrible cold weather, and some really fucking stupid laws. I know every state has some, but not nearly as many, nor as enforced.

I live next to several amusement parks in Cincinnati Ohio. The drinking water is clean and the people are friendly.

There is a bit of an upper class influence and they generally influence schools with their spoiled racist kids. Avoid snobby schools. The laws are annoyingly Conservative every now and then (the hours that you can buy booze, no marijuana).

The you have to avoid areas where you could get shot for being white.

Generally anywhere you can find a good mix of black and white people is pretty good.

The price of living is generally ok, but decent medical care is out of the budget if you're lower class. If you're moving, consider Toronto Canada.

No, I hate Indiana. Completely and utterly. I regret ever being born here. You're surrounded by pent-up hostility and people who constantly claim they're Christian but will sooner stab you in the back as soon as look at you. Everyone is secretly miserable because all the interesting places are surrounded by miles and miles of cornfield. Even then, the state motto is literally

"You have to go through us to get some place better."

Sure. I've lived with clinical depression for about 25-26 years. My mother tells others that she hasn't seen me happy since I was still a pre-teen. Something like suicidal thoughts or attempts didn't happen with me until I was in my early 20s. This tends to happen when you've never had any friends and never felt like you belonged in any school or group. That tends to happen when you didn't have a father growing up, which was the case with me. This is further worsened when you take into consideration that I also grew up with an older sister who physically and mentally abused me.

To reach a point in which you consider suicide usually comes after years and years of hopelessness. Sure, there are some statistical outliers where you see some teen jump off a bridge because he was bullied, but more often than not, depression is a slow-acting but very fatal poison that destroys you from the inside over the course of years. You see life as a zero-sum game, because zero good things have happened to you. I have also been afflicted with four years of insomnia. The eye bags convey this well.

The quintessential American. They see mental illness and crippling suffering like Vincent Price does with witches. They do not care about you, they offer no sympathy or empathy, and they couldn't give a shit about you in any reality they inhabit. The quintessential Christian America.
