Update: Catastrophe was the Carolina Panthers kicker being fucking atrocious and Eric Ebron not seeing the ball one single time, and Matt Ryan somehow not being able to do anything against Dallas.

Also Baltimore Defense because I bit hard on "Bengals Offense without AJ Green = beyond garbage" LOL

So to follow up the 215 last week, I'm 197 all out this week. Shame I'm dead in that league as I think that will be enough to put me as 2nd or 3rd highest scorer in the league for the season

This was the one week I genuinely needed points from Ebron. I've had him benched way more than I should have because I also have Kittle, but this is Kittle's bye, so Ebron automatically got the nod this week, and....zero.

Then my opponent gets 15 from his defense, and plays a desperation RB that scores a TD as the only points the team gets in a 48-7 loss.

Technically I haven't lost yet, but I need Gurley to outscore Mahomes + Hill tomorrow night. Here's to hoping that game is all Rams, all the time.

Alright according to Yahoo I have a 12% chance of Gurley scoring 62 points tonight so I can win.

Side note: my worse week ever. If I get 100 points this week it will be fortunate. God, I had Eric Ebron with 0 points, the Carolina kicker with -2 points somehow, and Chargers defense with 2 points. So basically it was like three people on my team didn't score a single point.

This is quite literally the worst week of fantasy football I've ever had

Oh apparently I'm not mathematically eliminated in the league where I got 215 and 197 the last 2 weeks

6 playoff spots. 4 teams already have 7+ wins, I cap out at 6 wins. So I would need at least 2 other teams to not reach 7 wins and I'd win the tiebreaker over any of them right now. Which means I need:

6-4 Team A to lose twice (looks like they get 1-2 wins)
6-4 Team B to lose twice (looks like 0-1 wins)
5-5 Team C to not win twice (looks like 1 win)
5-5 Team D to not win twice (looks like 1-2 wins)
Me to win twice (both matches 50-50)

So it's a very outside shot but could happen

Holy crap these results this week.

So, I'm currently in 7th, which puts me on the outside looking in. And I'm up against the player who most deserves to not get boned (again!) by someone outscoring their average and pushing him further into the abyss. Sorry, Nick. Your 1600 pts before this week was 4th in the league, and you've gotten really screwed over by having the highest points against. I've had the second-highest, and I only feel like there was one week where I got completely whacked by the fantasy gods, whereas you've been shellacked repeatedly. Moment of silence for you.

But for my sake, I could not have engineered a better set of results. Literally everyone ahead of me lost except 2nd. It's looking like I might control my fate again after this week, since I should outscore the other 7-5's. And I have the weakest team in the league for the last regular season match-up while Corrik and Champs have playoff-bound opponents. So if I drop next week's match and get bounced from the play-offs, I deserved it.

Well I need two people to lose this week to make the playoffs. And I need to win. And I need the one person to lose to get exactly 0 points this week.

I'm so salty in my work league. Got the first pick and obviously picked Gurley. Got Michael Thomas in the 2nd. And baring a miracle, I'm going to miss the playoffs. This is my first time doing a 10 team league and I might like it less than 14 team leagues.

I really only have myself to blame though. I dropped Robert Woods after the 1st week thinking I could do better than him in a 10 team league. I tanked my RB depth by trading Mixon for Landry (thought he'd be a PPR monster) and dropping Cook cause I got tired of waiting for him to be healthy. Making poor starts...just a dismal year all around there. Least in my two other leagues I'm in "win and in" situations and even if I lose there's a good chance of me still making the playoffs.

So update on this entering final week. I need to win and I need 3 other teams to lose, I comfortably have the tiebreaker. By projections only 1 of those teams is projected to lose

Which means I likely miss out on the playoffs due to losing with 215 points. Or alternatively (and more gut wrenchingly), I miss the playoffs due to losing by 0.8 points week 1 to the person who will be 1 win ahead of me.

This happened to me a couple years ago. It was some small number but it was less than a 2 point loss week 1 to what ended up being a pretty poor team. But because they kept beating teams that had bad weeks, that team ended up making the playoffs instead of me because of that win. Predictably that team got blown out the first week of the playoffs but I redid the playoff bracket with my team and I would have won the championship that year if I had made the playoffs. =/

I'm in a 12 man league, standard QB/2 RB/2 WR/TE/FLEX/DST/K with only 4 bench spots.

I'm sitting at 3rd place, and only 2 of my starters are people I drafted.

A savvy eye for waivers can make your whole season. I have... 35 acquisitions on that team.

(I'm also making the playoffs due to some good luck in other people making cuts with a small bench - 2nd place team cut Mixon when he was injured, and I stashed him immediately)

Well with 4 bench spots your waivers will be ripe with good players. Most leagues I play in have ridiculously deep benches so that players never have to make the decision to cut good players and can just stash players on their bench

For example my 16 man league has a 6 man bench with 1 IR slot. My 12 man league has a 9 man bench (but is a 2 IDP league) with 2 IR slots
