No matter howany votes Dems get in other states, Trump has a good hold of swinger states...Only Bernie or Dwayne could give the Democrats a chance at all.

He is registered Republican, but is more of a moderate. I honestly don't think he would run anyways, maybe in 2024 or 2028 when he is older and isn't making a dump truck full of money per movie.

It's not unprecedented for a party to not just automatically back an incumbent president.

Nah we need the Democratic Trump:

Michael Avennatti

Though he is likely smarter than Trump and unlike Trump he didn't have his daddy give him tons of money from age 2 onwards.

I'm not saying that, I am saying he wouldn't run because right now he is making a ton of money. He is probably going to ride that train until it runs out of track (Another 6 - 10 years at least).

If he wants the classic Reagan trajectory, he needs to take over the Screen Actors Guild first.

Any celebrity that isn't obviously hated could become president if they wanted because they are already well known and well liked.

They don't because they are usually already rich and being the president is a terrible job they have nothing to gain from.

The Rock strikes me as a conservative but not one who would toe the line.

Something tells me that, unless people vote for him purely on star power alone, he'll never get out of the primaries because he won't lean hard enough to the base.

Avennatti would probably cause Trump to break into tears as he gets wrecked constantly in public by him. Those debates would be hilarious. I bet Trump would get so butthurt he'd have a stroke or a heart attack.

I'd vote for Beto.
He should run for President in 2020, he certainly isn't going to beat Ted Cruz this year.

No matter how fanatical Bernie fans are, if they actually nominated him (which they won't, because he was only a Democrat of convenience and he's already gone back to being a declared Independent, so the party won't trust him), Trump would probably win reelection pretty handily.

The only reason Bernie did as well as he did last time was because his main opponent was Hillary, and she's one of the most unelectable candidates the Democrats have (in spite of her absolutely refusing to ever believe it).

Solid Sonic posted...

He is.

Everyone assumes he'd be a Democrat because he's Hollywood, cool, and "ethnic", but most of his expressed political views tend more towards conservative. He has a lot in common with Arnold Schwarzenegger in that respect.

If he actually runs at all, it probably won't be until 2024, because he'll run Republican and won't want to oppose the incumbent.
