And all three of those people have been posting stuff like this for years now. None of them were converted by Trump. Sorry if that was the confusion, but I distinctly remember all three posting essentially the same stuff since 2012 at the earliest.

Ulti has unfortunately been on the conspiracy wagon for some time now, which may be why he initially liked Obama honestly. In a Obama/Clinton/McCain/Romney sort of set up, Obama is the outsider that isn't a career politician. Vlado's been posting alt right nonsense since even before gamer gate, but it certainly made him more vocal. And Extha has been anti-feminism for as long as I can remember. These weren't Trump converts, they just all fit into Trump's base for different reasons.

fair enough. honestly, i don't remember much about what these three were saying about politics in '12 for some reason, so i'll take your word for it. (muffin was still very much into libertarianism/anarcho-capitalism back then, though. i'm very confident about that.)

Because patriotism is having a general pride and respect for your home nation, whereas nationalism is the belief that your nation is inherently superior to all others (which intrinsically inspires hatred and violence from one side of that equation or the other.)

This is why those hate groups are able to use nationalism to their benefit, because if your nation is superior, then any outside influence must be considered destructive. So you either attack out of fear of having a foreign culture overtake your own, or you attack because you feel like you must impose your superior culture on the inferior cultures.

Patriotism is just straight up "I love America", no additional terms and conditions required.
