Odin's effective atk is higher than Jaffar's anyway, because of how bladetomes work (and really, you're not running Odin with anything else). So in this case, I don't think the +4 atk rates as terribly important.

Well I would say the latter but yeah my point was more that Jaffar's stat spread is really not good, and I would to some extent consider class in this. Low atk is worse on a dagger-user than compared to a mage (or to any other class else except maybe archers if I'm being honest). I'd put him up as one of the worst 5*-locked units in the game.

If the point is he'd be worse if you just c/p'd Odin's stat spread onto him I agree, but the comparison between them should be pretty obvious anyway.

It's still FEH and the game is pretty good about making anyone usable so you can still use Jaffar if you like him of course. (I like him pretty well myself! ... but not enough to use him when I find him so mediocre.) Hopefully he gets a good refine at some point.

Hrm... I probably won't drop many orbs on the upcoming banner but looking at them....

Red: L!Ike, Karla, Bridal Tharja

Two units I don't own, and fodder in Ike. Nothing I truly want, however.

Blue: Easter Catria, Micaiah, Whalebait

Don't own Catria, she and Whalebait has nice skills. Naturally if I pull anything, it'll be the Micaiah I don't really have a use for.

Green: Legendary Hector, Brave Ike, Easter Sharena

Hector would be amazing, but desire sensor is going to hard push Sharena. Granted I don't have her so at the very least Green would be a "no lose" for me. Of course with +10 Nino and Cherche, I'm trying not to pull too hard on greens.

Colorless: Legendary Grima, Jaffar, Mirabelle

Jaffar merges would be nice, and I don't own the other two. Staff Valor would be really nice as well.

Eh, all of these are "kind of want" and "would be nice" units for me rather than "I need it and I need it now!"

Well, besides wanting to +10 Jaffar, but it's not like I'm really using him for much atm.

Gonna try to save up for Halloween banner.

I think it's a lot easier to make Jaffar work than pre buff Odin while still filling something resembling a unique niche I guess was my main point. I feel like saying his stat spread is comparable to Odin's is slightly hyperbolic, even if it kinda is just looking at raw number differences.

I'd say Jaffar's is more in the "bad but workable for a reason other than just loving the character" more like the Henrys of the world.

Though you're mostly using him for his gimmicky prf either way so yeah bad stat spread matters even less

This is gonna be my first hard pass (as in not even gonna attempt for one 5*) on a banner with at least one new hero on it since Sketchy Summer.

That said, loli Tiki tends to have that effect on me.

Why do I feel like they're trying to wring as much money as they can out of Arena players right now. Wonder when players will come around to this. Good way to reaffirm my decision to mostly quit. (I still do login orbs and the really easy ones like play bonds once a day, but no longer do daily quests or any of the orbs that require grinding and won't be spending another dime on this game till they clean their act up a bit)

This is the first month that's really offended me. That A skill on the muspell banner is worse than this Tiki but yeah. Really bad look so soon after that.

Also I hope to God the community dislike bombs this video. They did it for Lyn and Lucina getting their 4th alt even though neither really impacted arena that much(Granted Legendary Lucina was a pain).

So if they don't take action here then I just don't know what to say. There isn't a "Well we don't know, maybe they won't make her too crazy" excuse anymore.

Remember when Legendary Marth was revealed? Remember how dragon users were complaining? Good times.

I changed my mind and figured there's at least a ton of amazing skills to inherit off in this banner, especially in Red and Green, where the only sorta stinker is Sharena, so I went ahead and did 2 pulls to get the one 5* from it and move on.

I got 2 Micaiahs out of my first four pulls. I guess at least the good thing about pulling on blue on this banner is that at least third choice is still a pretty good unit.

So I dropped 15 on the banner. Got a Legendary Ike (+Res/-Hp so Warding Breath fodder). Gonna resist the urge to drop more.

Also whoever gave Tiki Hardy Bearing 3 seal in Abyssal can go fuck themselves. I'll find a way to kill her though, no worries about that.

Good luck, DYL. Abyssal Tiki seems like quite the undertaking. I don't even bother trying the Abyssal maps. The think the Infernal maps strike the perfect balance of being difficult and rewarding. Just finished Tiki Infernal with Gravity+ cheese from Genny, which is a strategy I've never really used before, so that was actually pretty fun.

I find Infernal rewarding enough. My Reinhardt couldn't even one round the infantry sword on Infernal; I don't want to think about Abyssal.

I'd prefer them to be challenging without piling reinforcements on you. I went with the usual dancer + Galeforce shenanigans to get it done

Yeah, even lunatic took me a few tries, but I got it with my typical flier emblem team of Myrrh, NY Azura, NY Camilla, and S. Corrin.

I couldn't find a way to make fliers work on infernal and resorted to Reinhardt, Green Olwen, Brave Roy and PA Azura

Gimmicky as fuck but managed to pull it off with

Bridal Ninian
Performing Arts Azura

Too much anti-Nino bullshit on this map, so one of the Four Fangs had to step in for this one. I'm not going to lie to you guys, I basically lucked into this solution. First enemy turn is literally Jaffar getting knocked to 1 hp(Jaffar has 4 merges and is +Atk/-Hp) and he only lives because of Dive Res from Azura(and the +3 from her axe)

Had Ninian distract the vengeance red mage at the far right so things would stack up slower. Veronica was made to tank twice(For those who aren't familiar with her statline... Veronica really doesn't want to tank things). Including the red manateke that knocks her from full to 2 hp(Mine is -Res to boot so 16 res). Live to Serve seal made it so she was topped up when she needed to be.

The last part kept tripping me up because I had to position the units in an exact way, anything else was someone getting killed. Azura had to take a red dragon hit(Replaced TA3 with Speed 3) so I learned a lot about what attacks 100% killed me and what just barely missed lethal.

I also free pulled Hector today. I'm not sure who really wants DC so I guess I'll bank him for now. He's an inferior nature to the one I use.

(Pulled a green, 3* Arthur which I am taking as a sign to quit while I'm ahead. 24 orbs, two legendary heroes, walking away from the table.)

Oh hey it's me except replace Jaffar with Felicia and Ninian with Legendary Ike. Colorless baiter on the first map is really useful due to the sheer number of differing types of ranged units that need to be baited.

Not sure what exactly you wanted as it relates to Lon'qu's art. Any fundamental issue with it would have to trace back to Lon'qu's design because it looks pretty much exactly like he does in Awakening.

She becomes a physical flying wall with double CD, which is nothing to scoff at and is a unique niche. I chose an offensive build myself
