Hi everyone, IGA here.

There are two important announcements we would like to make in this months update.

Our first announcement is that the game will now launch in 2019. The most important reason for this is to raise the quality level, especially after all the very valuable feedback from the Beta Backer Demo.

The second announcement is that the game will no longer launch on PlayStation Vita. This decision is largely due to Sonys plans to discontinue the Vita console, ending production of physical copies and stopping certain online store support features.

It's supposed to have a retro feel, notably hearkening to Castlevania: SOTN, but I believe it will be modernized in some ways.

You might be thinking of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. That's something of an appetizer for those waiting on the main game, and it's already out.

At least Curse of the Moon came out. That was great. Not as good as Castlevania III, but still really fun.

But MM9s main problem was not simple delays. From all accounts this campaign seems to actually be taking its backers and testers thoughts under consideration, which is the exact opposite of what MM9 did.

Make the bad guys bloodstained like an anime fan on prom night.

From everything I've ever read or seen about all the things Iga wanted to do in SotN, I am not the least bit surprised that the date gets pushed back with every new fever dream Iga has.

That being said, I'm sure it will come out eventually.

Damn, I voted to "take time and get it right" vs. "release as soon as possible", or whatever the exact worded options were (love that you had to choose between 2 extremes only), but I thought it meant like...mid-2018 vs. late 2018...
I know if it releases in Jan or Feb 2019 that wouldn't be far off, but the fact that they're still only giving a year w/o a month or season makes me really skeptical that it will be anytime soon in 2019, either.

Shame that one of the best systems of the gen won't continue to see physical games. I think I chose the PS4 version of the game so it's not going to affect me. It'll get here when it's ready.

I think we all agree the Vita had a way better library than the XB and a bigger library than the U. I still use mine often.

vitas library is laughably terrible, it's just all VNs, first person dungeon crawlers that are just not good, and really bad ports

Anyone who plays games does. Sure the U had some decent games just not too many. I appreciate that Nin offers quality over quantity but they probably could have produced a few extra games in their downtime. They have a huge catalog.

XB, that was like mobile levels of misery. Judging by sales many others realized there wasn't anything worth playing that wasn't available on a better platform.

I play games and I disagree.

Xbox had Armed & Dangerous. That game alone is worth the price of admission, and puts it ahead of the Vita

I selected the physical Vita version when I originally backed this, but I have already received the e-mail asking me what other version I would like. Alas! I love my Vita, but ... c'est la vie. PS4 it is.

I had selected Wii U originally :(

Now set to PS4. Maybe w/ this delay, I'll have a chance to change it to Switch for the portability. I don't own one yet, but probably will after the Black Friday sales.

At this rate ya might wanna see if theyll give you a PS5 option

Way to aim low for the M$ team... Besides the gun and car genres there wasn't anything else to choose from. Probably why I never added any to my collection. Even the VB had a few games worth getting.
